Hello.
This is Mutoel Plastic Surgery.
Recently, skin boosters and collagen boosters
have been receiving a great deal of attention and popularity.
Among them, Juvelook Skin is not simply an injection
that provides moisture, but a regenerative product
that stimulates the skin to produce collagen on its own,
so over time it becomes gradually fuller and firmer.
The “instant glow” that many people know of relies
mainly on hyaluronic acid (HA), while long-term
structural improvement is achieved through
“collagen boosters” like Juvelook.
Today, I’d like to explain in detail the main ingredients
and mechanism of this procedure, its indications,
the treatment process, recovery and precautions,
and tips for combining it with other skin procedures.

What kind of procedure is it?
Juvelook is a collagen-inducing skin booster made
from a combination of high-molecular-weight PLA
and hyaluronic acid. It is effective for creating natural
volume and improving fine lines.
When Juvelook is injected into the dermal layer,
its microparticles slowly break down and stimulate
the surrounding fibroblasts, promoting collagen
synthesis. As a result, a “collagen remodeling effect”
appears, gradually strengthening the skin’s internal
structure over time.
With this process, rather than an immediate volume effect,
you can expect a feeling of firmness building up slowly.
For this reason, it is a skin booster that focuses more on
improving overall skin concerns such as fine lines,
skin tone, hydration, and pores.

Who is it recommended for?
Because it works by strengthening the skin’s structure,
you can expect results above average regardless of when
or under what circumstances you receive the treatment.
Even so, at Yongsan Dermatology, we recommend it for
those who want improvement in fine lines and subtle skin texture,
those with enlarged pores or uneven skin surfaces,
those who want regeneration in depressed areas such as acne scars,
and those who find fillers 부담스럽지만 want to compensate for
mild overall facial volume loss. For these patients, the Juvelook
skin booster procedure can provide sufficient results.
It is often used for the purpose of regenerating the skin’s structure
and creating more natural firmness, and it has been reported that
after the procedure, improvements in pores, scars, and fine lines
appear gradually.

What are the differences from other skin boosters?
To compare briefly,
hyaluronic acid (HA) boosters have the strongest immediate
moisturizing effect and a dewy, glass-skin effect.
The PN/PDRN line (such as Rejuran) is excellent at stimulating
cell regeneration, so it is mainly specialized for skin repair
and soothing problematic skin.
In contrast, Juvelook’s advantage is “collagen induction,”
with ongoing structural improvement and the characteristic
of skin firmness and volume building up gradually.
Therefore, if you want immediate radiance, HA-based products are suitable;
for quick regeneration and soothing, PDRN is recommended;
and if you want medium- to long-term structural improvement,
as well as improvement in pores and scars, Juvelook is the better choice.
Since each procedure has its own strengths and weaknesses,
at Yongsan Dermatology we sometimes combine multiple skin boosters
in a complementary way to match the patient’s needs.

How is the procedure performed?
Before the procedure, the face is thoroughly cleansed and
locally anesthetized with cream, after which the injection solution
is evenly administered in small amounts into the dermal layer
using fine needles.
When injections are performed manually, the result can vary
depending on the practitioner’s skill and precision.
On the other hand, when a multi-needle injector such as Hycoox
is used, the medication can be delivered more evenly and at
more consistent intervals into the skin.
For the entire face, the procedure usually takes about 10 minutes,
excluding anesthesia. It is performed up to three times at 3- to 4-week
intervals to strengthen the skin’s foundation, and then maintained
with additional treatment every 6 to 12 months.
After anesthesia, the pain is tolerable, and slight swelling and redness
may occur immediately after the injection procedure, but they usually
settle within 3 days.
In addition, if Juvelook is not sufficiently hydrated and the injected
product clumps together, a slight nodular sensation may be felt
(hardness at the injection site).
Mild symptoms improve within a week,
but if nodules continue to be felt, it is best to inform the medical staff
and have it checked.
For 48 hours after the procedure, please avoid facial massage,
and it is also best to avoid saunas and strenuous exercise that causes sweating.
Also, to help prevent pigmentation and infection, if you carefully use
sunscreen, take the prescribed medication, and follow the cleansing instructions,
you can reduce concerns about side effects.
Because the effect appears gradually, you will notice improvements
in skin texture and firmness over the course of 1–2 months.

In closing...
At Yongsan Dermatology, the result of Juvelook depends most on
how well the product is hydrated and how much product is injected,
and at what depth in the skin it is delivered.
In other words, receiving the procedure from a doctor with extensive
Juvelook experience helps ensure safe results.
When choosing a clinic, please make sure to carefully check through
sufficient consultation whether they use genuine products, use sterilized
disposable needles, and promise an appropriate response process if any
problems arise after the procedure, before receiving a safe treatment.
Also, because of the nature of the Juvelook skin booster,
it is especially suitable for those who want changes that are gradual,
yet more natural and longer lasting, rather than immediate changes.
If you are concerned about skin texture, enlarged pores, reduced elasticity,
or scars, please visit Mutoel for a consultation. We will personally check
your skin condition and goals and do our best with sincere treatment to help
resolve your concerns.
This has been Mutoel Plastic Surgery.
Thank you.
