The buried-suture method is performed without an incision, leaving no scar and eliminating the need for suture removal.

By forming the double-eyelid line using only the force of fixation sutures, without the processes of making an incision or creating tissue adhesions, this method generally involves less swelling and faster recovery than the full-incision method. It is a natural-looking surgical option.

Because the buried-suture method is performed without an incision, it is recommended for people with thin eyelids and little fat, those without significant skin sagging, those who want a natural-looking eye shape, and those who feel apprehensive about an incision-based procedure.

The partial-incision method combines the natural appearance of the buried-suture method with the defined advantages of the full-incision method. It is performed through small incisions of less than 2–3 mm, creating double eyelids in a manner similar to the buried-suture method while also allowing fat removal. Because the incisions are minimal, there is less concern about scarring and a lower possibility of the crease loosening.
