Surgical Methods by Short Nose Type

When the alar cartilage that forms the tip of the nose is elevated,

part of the upper alar cartilage is removed through cartilage reshaping,

and the position is lowered to correct it.

When correction is difficult with the cartilage reshaping described above,

part of the alar cartilage is removed, followed by a septal cartilage graft between the cartilage segments

to lengthen the tip of the nose.

After correcting the length of the short nose using the two surgical methods described above,

an implant and autologous cartilage can be used to correct the length and height of the nasal bridge and tip.
