By forming the double eyelid crease using only the tension of the fixation sutures, without the incision and tissue-adhesion processes, it generally involves less swelling and a faster recovery than the incisional method. It is a suitable option for creating a natural-looking result.

Because the non-incisional method is performed without an incision, it is recommended for people with thin eyelids and little fat, those without significant skin laxity, those who want a natural-looking eye shape, and those who feel uncomfortable with an incisional procedure.

The partial-incision method combines the natural appearance of the non-incisional method with the defined advantages of the incisional method. It is performed through small incisions of less than 2–3 mm, creating a double eyelid crease similarly to the non-incisional method while also allowing fat removal. Because the incisions are very small, there is less concern about scarring and a lower possibility of the crease loosening.

The partial-incision method is suitable for people with a large amount of fat or muscle for whom a full incision may be difficult, those whose double eyelid crease has loosened after a non-incisional procedure, and those who want to remove excess eyelid fat. It is also recommended for people concerned about scarring and swelling.

The incisional method involves making an incision along the double eyelid line. It is suitable for people with sagging eyelids or those who need excess fat or skin removed, as well as for ptosis correction. It can create a more defined double eyelid line than the non-incisional method.
