DM Lateral and Lower Canthoplasty Review,
“I’m Satisfied with Everything from the Consultation to the Surgery and Recovery!”

★★★★☆ / Ppang-trim (lateral and lower canthoplasty) / Dr. Joo-hong Lee
• Concerns Before the Procedure
After looking into several clinics and having consultations,
I underwent Ppang-trim surgery at DM Plastic Surgery with Dr. Joo-hong Lee.
When I previously had double-eyelid surgery at another clinic,
I was only told not to undergo canthoplasty without being given
a clear explanation, so I could not have the medial, lateral, and lower canthoplasty I wanted.
At DM Plastic Surgery, however, they carefully examined the condition of my eyes
and explained in detail that lateral and lower canthoplasty was possible,
but that medial canthoplasty was not recommended because the red tissue was already visible.
• Consultation Experience
I found it most trustworthy that they gave me an honest consultation without insisting on surgery.
They also kindly explained my concern that my eye shape might change too much,
and I was even more satisfied because they only discussed the surgery I wanted without recommending other procedures!
• Results
After the surgery, the sutures were neatly arranged,
so it was not very noticeable even when I wore glasses or a hat,
and my friends even said that it looked as if I had applied eyeliner.
On the day of surgery, my eyes felt slightly tight,
and bruising and conjunctival edema appeared on the second day, but with the cold packs they provided,
I continued applying cold compresses and the conjunctival edema had almost disappeared by around the fifth day.
My recovery was also faster than expected, and when the sutures were removed on the seventh day,
it was immediately apparent that my eyes looked longer and more open,
so I was really satisfied.
• Additional Comments
I had always wanted eyes that looked more open and larger,
and I am very satisfied that this surgery gave me the eye shape I wanted!
Even on the day the sutures were removed, it was barely noticeable that I had undergone surgery,
so if I did not mention it first, people around me would probably think,
“Maybe the swelling has gone down, making the eyes look bigger?”
I was satisfied with everything from the consultation to the surgery and recovery,
and this is a clinic I would confidently recommend to anyone considering canthoplasty like me.
This is a seven-day review from a client who underwent Ppang-trim (lateral and lower canthoplasty) at DM Plastic Surgery.
The client, who had been concerned that their eyes looked closed-in,
visited the clinic to achieve a more open-looking eye shape,
and through the photos, you can see how the natural adjustment of the horizontal eye length
changed the eyes into a gentle and more open-looking shape.
In addition, although eye surgery may appear to be a relatively simple procedure,
it requires aesthetic judgment and technical skill.
Therefore, surgery should be performed after a one-on-one consultation
with a medical team specializing in eye surgery and possessing extensive surgical experience.
DM Plastic Surgery performs customized one-on-one surgeries
with a focus on the harmony of each client’s facial features and appearance.
