I’ll talk about helpful rhinoplasty revision

In this case,

a hospital used ear cartilage at the tip of the silicone while raising the bridge at another clinic,

but the nasal tip was not sharp, and with an undesired nasal tip line,

they visited our Lari Plastic Surgery.

If you look at the post-surgery photo,

a long with the silicone replacement,

you can see that the nasal tip became sharper by using septal cartilage + ear cartilage

It has been 1 year since the surgery,

and there are no complications such as the nasal tip collapsing; it has been well maintained.

There are many reasons to consider rhinoplasty revision.

The most common are cases where you are not satisfied with the shape or size of the nose after surgery,

cases where the surgical look is too noticeable,

or cases where the bridge looks crooked or the nasal tip has dropped.

Revision surgery is more difficult than the first surgery,

and it must be performed more carefully to achieve satisfactory results ><

The cause of the previous incorrect surgery must be accurately identified,

and the appropriate surgical method tailored to the shape of your own nose must be performed

In this case,  due to a previous incorrect nose surgery, when viewed from below the nose, the columella support looks crooked and blunt.

You can see that the right nostril is sunken more than the left

After surgery at Lari Plastic Surgery,

the nostril asymmetry was corrected with the proper amount of septal cartilage,

through correct design and precise placement.

 

To correct a blunt nasal tip and a hump nose,

the hump was removed with osteotomy along with silicone removal.

If you look at the pre-surgery photo,

a hump on the bridge had been present from a previous clinic, but it was not properly osteotomized,

and because unsuitable silicone was used, the nasal tip looks collapsed and blunt ㅜㅜ

Even a small hump must be completely removed for the line to come out beautifully,

and at this time, delicate osteotomy is necessary.

A fat graft for facial contouring was also performed,

filling out the sunken nasolabial folds,

adding volume and dimensionality to the entire face, transforming the image into a more youthful-looking face ><

The drooping nasal tip was lifted sharply and elegantly with septal cartilage,

so it does not sag when smiling.

Thanks to accurate anatomical knowledge and delicate dissection,

this is the pre-op and 2-week post-op result; a little swelling remains, but there is no bruising.

In this case,

derma was harvested from the upper center of the buttock

and grafted to the nasal tip along with ear cartilage.

You can see that it has settled naturally and sharply.

From the side,

the size of the nostrils, as you can see in the pre-surgery photo, 

looks large and raised like a mountain ㅠㅠ 

The columella does not look smooth and appears uneven, leaving something to be desired.

Although it has only been 11 days after surgery, there is no swelling or bruising thanks to the careful procedure ><

The amount of swelling after rhinoplasty revision varies from patient to patient.

It may be similar to the swelling after the first surgery, or it may be even more severe.

For swelling management,

cold compresses for 3-4 days after surgery are very helpful,

and light walking is good! Exercise is not allowed!

You should avoid bending your head down after surgery,

and for 2 weeks after surgery, saunas or steam rooms are not allowed ㅠㅠ

You should also be careful not to blow your nose forcefully or touch it,

and please refrain from washing your face until the stitches are removed.

※ To prevent inflammation and reduce swelling,  drinking alcohol and smoking are absolutely not allowed!! ※
