There are various methods for double eyelid surgery, and broadly speaking, they can be divided into the incisional method and the non-incisional method. In addition to the surgical method, they can also be categorized by eyelid shape. There is the inline, where the epicanthic fold covers the front of the double eyelid line so the lines meet as one; the outline, where the double eyelid lines do not meet all the way to the end; and the in-out line, which has a feel somewhere between inline and outline.

The in-out line is usually seen more often in people who had double eyelid surgery and inner corner surgery at the same time. Compared with an inline, the double eyelid is visible more clearly toward the front end, while compared with an outline, it has a more natural style. Because it feels like a middle ground between inline and outline, it can look the most attractive.

In fact, inline, in-out line, and outline are usually not determined by the double eyelid design itself, but by the degree of inner corner surgery in most cases. The more the inner corner is opened from an inline, the more it goes through an in-out line and becomes an outline. Since an outline is created by opening the inner corner to the maximum, it can look less natural than an inline or in-out line.

Conversely, if the epicanthic fold is reconstructed through inner corner revision on an outline, it can return to an in-out line. So if an outline style looks unusually unnatural or does not suit you well, please be sure to consider inner corner revision surgery!

For Koreans, the relationship between double eyelid surgery and inner corner surgery is like a needle and thread that cannot be separated. If double eyelid surgery and inner corner surgery are performed in harmony, you can have beautiful eyes that everyone will envy.
