It’s already June, but why is it still so hot?
Wow
When I’m inside the hospital, I get air-conditioning sickness. When I get off work, it feels like heatstroke.
(Oh... this rhyme though, like a Show Me the Money IV drip)
When it’s hot, a cold beer really hits the spotㅠㅠ
But I’m going to go the opposite way and do heat with heat.
Today’s restaurant recommendation is famous for bossam and pajeon
Manbok Guksu

After finishing a rewarding(?) and fulfilling(?) day of work with my colleagues,
there was no way I could just go home like that, so we went there^^
It was so crowded, as you’d expect from a famous restaurant,
so I thought, "Ah, they must be having a company dinner~"
But it was the waiting line, and not even everyone there was together.

Well, I guess people who came before closing time just eat and leave?
After walking around for about 30 minutes, wow!? A lot of seats had opened up...
The owner was busily cleaning up.
Alright, we’ll go in one by one~~~~~

There are a lot of liquor bottles in the interior,
and among them, there were especially many sake bottles.
Ganbare Otousan, "Hang in there, Dad"
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋan old man drawing
There was also a mom version, but I’ve never tried it, so I don’t really know the taste...

Hmm...? Wasn’t this a place for boiled pork and pancakes?
So many different menu items...
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

The menu is amazing, right?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The fun is in choosing, and since then I’ve gone a few times
and tried other dishes too, but the owner definitely
has great cooking skills.

Is it just me?
I have a really hard time making choices, and why can’t you all pick either?
We’re not holding a menu memorization contest here, okay?
Please, somebody just decide on one thing.

With so many menu items, it makes it even harder to choose ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
No, we’re hungry, so let’s just order already... please.

We may have trouble choosing, but when it comes to free stuff, we’re amazing.
Mingdi, what are you doing? The older sisters are waiting for you.
Let’s go with Soju.

When you order anchovy noodles here, they pour the broth in for you directly.
The steam rising makes it the best in winter,
but we’re sweating while eating it today. Since today’s topic is heat with heat.

This is boiled pork!!! To keep it from getting cold, it comes out placed on something like a steamer,
as a considerate way of serving it warm.
I appreciate the owner’s thoughtfulness... but it’s hooooot... too hot...
It comes with white kimchi and dried radish strips, and the combination is incredible.. sweet and salty.

Since we came here, we obviously had to try the pajeon too.
I like kimchi more than seafood pajeon,
so I went with kimchi pancake.

Haha, the meat looks dry and the kimchi pancake looks burned,
but no.
It’s my fault for only being able to frame the photo and camera angle like that..

Awwㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
I usually don’t like banquet noodles, but these were insanely good.
Slurping up the fried tofu and somyeon together.
I couldn’t do a noodle slurp because it was too hot and it would wreck the roof of my mouth.

Phew~ phew~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The broth isn’t cloudy, it’s clean-tasting, and at the same time,
it has just the right level of seasoning.
I approve.

Bibim guksu ... it’s one of the two signature dishes, along with anchovy noodles.
Personally, I thought the bibim guksu was even better!!
It’s sweet and sour, and the lettuce inside gives it an amazing texture.

Juicy bossam, chewy dried radish strips, crunchy white kimchi.
You can only really feel that when you come here..
This place is already well known by word of mouth, so it feels a bit odd to say I’m introducing it,
but I wrote this so that even people who have been here before can feel it once againㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Heh
How was my heat-with-heat experience?
The owner definitely turned on the air conditioner, but strangely,
there’s a legend that a downpour started pouring from our foreheads...
