The most common side effect of double eyelid surgery is a sausage-like appearance.

A sausage-like eyelid refers to an eyelid whose double eyelid line is puffed up like a sausage, making it look unnatural and clearly operated on.

Even among sausage-like eyelids, some have only a thick double eyelid line, while others have a sausage-like appearance with the upper eyelid area above the double eyelid line (ROOF) also feeling thick.

The patient above had the latter type of sausage-like eyelid,

so not only was the double eyelid line thick, but the upper eyelid area (ROOF) was also noticeably full.

Through sausage-like eyelid correction and ROOF fat removal, the double eyelid line was changed to look natural,

and although the thickness of the double eyelid was not greatly reduced, the line became much softer.

Before surgery, when the eyes were open, the double eyelid line looked as deeply pinched as it did when looking downward,

but in the final photo after surgery, the red incision scar is visible,

while the feeling of a pinched line has been greatly reduced compared to before surgery.

The thickness of the double eyelid line, which was different before surgery, was also corrected to a similar appearance after surgery.

On day 5 after surgery, the eyes close slightly less well because of skin tension and swelling,

but in the final post-surgery photo, the scar is not severe and the eyes close well.

If you look at the outer corner where the double eyelid line ends, the line that looked deeply set and bulged up and down before surgery

ended abruptly, almost as if it had been cut off,

but after surgery the double eyelid ends naturally,

so it looks much less obviously operated on than before and gives a softer impression.

Even after surgery, achieving a result that does not look obviously operated on,

but instead looks natural and like your original self, is not easy.
