[Lari Plastic Surgery] Not a Lower Eyelid Fat Repositioning Surgery That Quickly Comes Back, but a Long-Lasting One

Dark circle surgery, often called the basic of youthful plastic surgery,

is another name for lower eyelid fat repositioning surgery.

This is the phenomenon in which the fat layer surrounding the eyeball beneath the aegyo-sal area shifts downward under the eyes,

creating a bulge-like pocket that protrudes and casts a shadow.

Depending on the eye socket bone structure and anatomy, some people have severe symptoms from a young age,

while others do not show much even as they get older.

As people age and the under-eye puffiness becomes more pronounced, they may undergo lower blepharoplasty,

but if the surgery is performed in one’s 30s or 40s, when the puffiness is not very severe,

the procedure can be done more simply because the skin laxity is not severe.

After the surgery, the protruding under-eye area sinks in, making the area look smoother and brighter,

which gives the face a younger and more refreshed appearance.

It is hard to distinguish from the photos alone, so I drew lines.

The line above is the aegyo-sal line,

and the line drawn below is a second line created by the under-eye fat layer.

To remove this wrinkle, some people try to fill the wrinkle area with fillers,

but this adds filler on top of the fat, making the under-eye area heavier and more saggy.

Therefore, the correct way to improve it is not to fill the second wrinkle line with filler,

but to remove the protruding fat in the circled area

and eliminate the wrinkle that way.

Right after the surgery, the under-eye area may look slightly sunken,

but over time it becomes more natural,

and even one year later, it remains well maintained without becoming bulged again.

(Under-eye fat repositioning is not a permanent surgery, so after 10 to 20 years,

the sagging fat may push through the skin again, requiring revision surgery.)
