Any surgery will leave small or large scars afterward.

It would be great if the wound area healed neatly and cleanly,

but naturally, some people do not have that kind of healing.

If you think about it, scars from double eyelid surgery are visible when the eyes are closed,

but they are not visible when the eyes are open, so they may be manageable. However, scars from medial canthal surgery are visible whether the eyes are open or closed, so they are difficult to simply ignore..

Medial canthal scars are usually corrected with medial canthal reconstruction/medial canthal restoration surgery.

Because the visible scar is at the inner corner where the skin was opened, restoring the opened area to its original state can conceal the scar.

With this method, the medial canthal scar may disappear,

but you should keep in mind that new scars from medial canthal reconstruction surgery may form.

This patient had a visible medial canthal scar,

but the inner corners of the eyes were not opened enough to justify medial canthal reconstruction surgery. In fact, if reconstruction/restoration surgery were performed, the space between the eyes could become wider and the inner corner could look more blocked, making the area appear more cramped. So the scar was corrected with medial canthal revision surgery instead of medial canthal reconstruction surgery.

With a fine medial canthal procedure for changing direction and correcting scars, we pulled the scar at the inner part of the eye as much as possible into a line-like shape to conceal it while neatly refining the shape of the inner corner. Performed together with double eyelid surgery, it blended well with the shape of the double eyelid line, so the medial canthal scar was well corrected with medial canthal revision surgery without medial canthal reconstruction surgery.

There is one more part you should look at carefully. It is here. When the eyes are closed, before surgery the inner parts of both eyes showed a rounded inner-corner shape, and above that, there were indented marks that looked as if they had been pressed in.

Ordinary surgery cannot take into account how the eyes look when closed. However, because the surgery is performed with the correct structure based on specialized anatomical knowledge, we can confirm that the scars visible when the eyes were closed also improved after surgery.
