[Lari Plastic Surgery] Removing Double Eyelids with Incision + Upper Eyelid Fat Grafting, Before-and-After Photos at 6 Months Post-Op

A post from a few months ago covered removing double eyelids with incision + upper eyelid fat grafting,

and it showed the before-and-after photos at 4 months after surgery.

Today, we’ll look at this patient’s 6-month follow-up photos.

The points we want to check are:

1. Whether the transplanted fat has been maintained well without being lost
2. Whether the double eyelids have recurred

These are the two main points we’ll focus on.

The patient above had a sunken upper eyelid for various reasons,

and starting from that hollow area, multiple layers of folded double eyelids developed, giving a tired appearance. With surgery to remove the double eyelids, we released the adhesions of the layered folds and improved the condition by grafting fat into the upper eyelid fat layer.

Usually, when fat is grafted, the survival rate of the fat is low, so the fat is gradually lost again and second or third grafting procedures are repeated. However, fat grafted into the correct layer of the upper eyelid is different from fat grafted into other areas and does not simply disappear over time.

In the previous post mentioned above, we covered the photos taken 4 months after surgery, but even now, at 6 months after surgery, the grafted fat remains well maintained just as it did then.

Still, it is best to avoid pressing the fat graft area with strong force for a long time or going on extreme diets.

In addition, the adhesions in the layered folds have also been well released, so we can see a smooth upper eyelid area without the same wrinkles as before surgery, and just like in the 4-month post-op photos from the previous post, there is no recurrence of the double-eyelid crease, so the post-op monolid appearance has been well maintained.

Simply by releasing the layered fold adhesions in the eyelid and adding a small amount of volume, compared with how hollow and rough the area looked before surgery, the impression after surgery is much improved.

The incision scar that can only be seen when the eyes are closed is also looking more natural than in the 4-month post-op photos from the previous surgery, as the scar tissue along the incision line gradually loosens up at 6 months after surgery, and the color of the darker scar has improved a lot as well.
