Because the possibility of non-incisional surgery cannot be determined by any specific definition,

an in-person consultation where the eyes can be examined directly is essential.

Just as some people can undergo double eyelid surgery using either buried suture or incision,

in this patient's case, both incisional and non-incisional methods were judged to be possible for double eyelid removal surgery.

Then, one week after undergoing non-incisional double eyelid removal surgery.

As expected, unlike incisional surgery, recovery progressed very quickly.

The patient also had lower eyelid fat repositioning surgery, so there was a lot of bruising around the eyes,

but the upper eyelid no longer had the double eyelid fold after just one week, and the swelling was almost gone.

The biggest advantage of non-incisional surgery: the recovery period!

A week later, being able to live daily life comfortably without swelling is a result that is rarely seen with incisional surgery.

However.

There is one weakness to non-incisional double eyelid removal surgery.

That is the possibility of recurrence.

Just as buried suture double eyelid surgery has a higher chance of becoming loose than incisional double eyelid surgery,

the chance of recurrence after non-incisional double eyelid removal surgery is

h i g h e r !

Looking at the post-surgery photo, the double eyelid has been removed well,

but there is a faint, ambiguous line visible on the eyelid.

It is a little less noticeable when there is swelling,

but as time passes, this ambiguous line becomes more visible.

For now, the thick double eyelid fold that was there before has been removed,

but after non-incisional surgery, an ambiguous line may appear on the eyelid,

and over time this line can gradually develop into a new double eyelid foldㅠㅠ

Although this does not always happen, it usually progresses that way,

and because skin laxity and fixation speed differ from person to person,

the period for a new double eyelid fold to settle in cannot be determined exactly.

As mentioned earlier, double eyelid removal surgery is almost always possible with incisional surgery,

but there are cases where non-incisional surgery is possible after consultation.

For those who want surgery but do not have much time available, non-incisional surgery may be recommended,

but after non-incisional double eyelid removal surgery, you must be aware in advance

that there is a possibility of double eyelid recurrence.

Before surgery and one year after surgery

Although non-incisional double eyelid removal surgery was performed,

the progress has been well maintained so far without complete recurrence ^^

However, you should keep in mind that you never know when that ambiguous line may become a new double eyelid fold,

and if the double eyelid forms again and revision surgery is needed,

it must be done with incisional double eyelid removal surgery rather than the non-incisional method.
