[Lari Plastic Surgery] Embedded double eyelid surgery, long-term before-and-after photos and a real video of surgery to remove a double eyelid line

People who have had double eyelid surgery and are not satisfied with the results often

want to remove the double eyelid line again.

In particular, for those who had an embedded procedure,

since there was no incision and the line was secured only with sutures inside,

many think that if the internal sutures are removed, the double eyelid line will simply disappear.

However, removing a double eyelid line is not as easy as it sounds.

The patient above had undergone embedded double eyelid surgery only 3 months earlier.

In terms of time alone, it had been less than 3 months since the surgery,

so it might seem like removing just the embedded sutures would make the double eyelid line disappear.

But finding and removing the embedded sutures without making an incision is difficult,

and even if the sutures are removed, the parts that have adhered to the tarsal plate may still maintain the double eyelid line,

so this is very unlikely to be feasible.

The original embedded double eyelid line was quite thick,

and there was also an additional double line above the surgical line.

So, with an incision-based surgery to remove the double eyelid line, it was necessary not only to remove the embedded sutures inside the skin,

but also to carefully release the areas where the muscle and skin were adhered.

Compared to before surgery, the after-surgery photo shows

that the double eyelid crease and the overlapping crease have completely disappeared, as shown above.

The longer these lines remain, the more they settle into the skin like wrinkles,

and in some cases the line remains even when the eyes are closed.

To remove these wrinkles as well, it is better to perform the surgery with an incision.

The embedded double eyelid surgery above leaves little to no scar, and even if there is one, it is not severe.

But incision double eyelid surgery can leave more noticeable scars than embedded double eyelid surgery,

so an incision-based surgery to remove the double eyelid line is also needed to remove the scar.

By removing the embedded double eyelid line with an incision-based surgery,

and additionally eliminating the overlapping crease that had been forming,

the two lines visible toward the outer corner of the eye when the eyes were open were also completely removed,

restoring a completely monolid appearance.

Compared with eyes that are too large and round with a deep double eyelid crease,

eyes that are clearly monolids and appear horizontally longer

certainly give a more masculine impression and look more relaxed.

These are long-term before-and-after photos taken 3 years and 4 months after surgery,

and the eye shape and condition in the short-term recovery period may differ from the current appearance.
