The eyes are the first thing you see when you look in the mirror, and also the place you look at most often.
If you are unhappy with those eyes, it can become a source of concern and stress every time you look in the mirror.
This patient had undergone double eyelid surgery several times, but asymmetry and loosening had occurred repeatedly.
They came to the hospital wondering, “Would it be better to just remove the double eyelid altogether..?”

Not only was the thickness of the double eyelid line different,
but the shape of the crease was not uniform or smooth,
and it did not appear properly defined, seeming loose as well.
For cases like this, making the crease thicker could increase the chance of it loosening again.
Since the patient was already tired of asymmetrical double eyelid lines, we lowered the height of the crease significantly
and performed revision double eyelid surgery with a low, nearly single-eyelid-like crease.
While lowering the double eyelid line and matching both sides,
the right eye, which had slightly weaker opening strength (left in the photos),
also underwent ptosis correction by tightening the Müller muscle,
so that the degree of eye opening became more similar on both sides.

By not keeping the double eyelid line unnecessarily thick and changing it to a very low crease,
rather than looking artificial, the eyes look more natural,
and the effect of the ptosis correction makes the eyes appear clearer.
Since the patient was female,
considering factors such as eyeliner tattoo, facial impression, and the shape of the eyes,
designing the surgery so that a slight crease remained rather than removing the double eyelid line entirely
shows that this was a very good choice.

In this case, the patient had undergone several previous surgeries and had very little excess skin remaining,
so even before surgery, there was high tension on the upper eyelid skin.
That meant there was a high possibility that the eyes would not close well after surgery.
However, we proceeded with surgery in a way that minimized the amount of skin excision needed as much as possible,
and you can see that the eyes can still close after the operation.
The scar that had been positioned high in the middle of the eyelid was also removed,
and the new scar was lowered closer to the eyelashes, making it look much better.
