[Lari Plastic Surgery] Incisional Eyelid Correction + Lateral Canthoplasty for Men, and Before-and-After Photos of Hump Nose Osteotomy Surgery Using Ear Cartilage and Septal Cartilage

Men, too, have entered an era in which they undergo plastic surgery

to improve their impression.

Regardless of age, from students to soldiers, young adults, middle-aged adults, and seniors,

a variety of people come in for surgery after going through their own period of concern for various reasons.

This patient was a soldier preparing for discharge, and

after completing military service, he came to the hospital to improve his impression for a better college life.

His upper eyelids covered a lot of his eyes,

and he had short eyes with outer corners that sloped upward significantly.

To improve the sharp impression created by the eyes before surgery,

we performed incisional eyelid correction surgery and lateral canthoplasty together.

The eyelid correction surgery was performed very naturally, reflecting the patient’s previous double-eyelid-free appearance and his preferences,

creating an inner double fold that is almost similar to no visible double eyelids at all.

For the lateral canthoplasty as well, the outer corners were slightly lowered within the range of maximizing the horizontal length of the eyes.

As a result of incisional eyelid correction surgery to maintain a no-double-eyelid-like appearance,

the eyes were made larger in a natural way,

with an inner double fold line that still looks like no visible double eyelids.

In addition, by lengthening the eyes with lateral canthoplasty and slightly lowering the raised outer corners,

the eyes, which had looked harsh and cramped, became larger and the overall impression improved.

One thing to be careful about here is/

For men, even if they undergo lateral canthoplasty to lower the outer corners and improve upward-slanting, short eyes,

it is better not to overdo it and to keep it only slightly to a moderate degree.

If the outer corners are lowered too much in order to make the eyes wider,

women may feel that the lowered outer corners make the face look softer, but

for men, an overly soft impression can actually make them seem less approachable.

This patient also had nose surgery at the same time as the eye surgery.

It was correction for a hump nose.

The original nose was not small or low, but high with a well-defined line;

however, the hump created severe curvature, preventing a soft impression.

So the bony hump area was shaved and smoothed down

to make it natural and smooth.

In addition, the tip of the nose, which was slightly drooping downward,

was gently lifted using septal cartilage and ear cartilage, which form the central axis of the nose, making the nose appear shorter.

If the nose is long, the midface can look longer,

which can make a person look older than intended (more mature than desired),

and even with the same facial length, the face can appear longer.

Even if the nose length is the same, if the tip droops downward, the nose can appear longer,

so by slightly lifting and correcting the tip, we made the nose look shorter,

helping the face appear smaller and more youthful.

When performing nose surgery, rather than simply insisting on making the bridge high and the tip high,

you need to consider the nose length that suits your face and design the shape and height of the tip together

to achieve good results.
