This patient had been concerned about severe unevenness before surgery. They wanted to correct the uneven eyes, which had a noticeable difference, by removing the double eyelids.

The right eye (left side in the photo) was not quite a double eyelid yet,

but it was an eye just before the crease that would become a double eyelid formed,

so along with the left eye (right side in the photo),

Those familiar with plastic surgery will know that

there is often significant swelling around the time of stitch removal after double eyelid surgery,

and the eyes may look puffy like sausages,

with the two eyes often looking different as well.

Although double eyelid removal surgery was performed, the double eyelid was still visible,

and even though the goal was to correct the uneven eyes while removing the double eyelids, the difference was still there,

that the surgery was performed while continuously checking and adjusting both eyes.

In eye plastic surgery, it is important to check the eyes throughout the procedure

in order to achieve a good result.

That is why, even under sedation anesthesia,

patients are awakened during the operation,

opening and closing their eyes so both sides can be balanced.

During surgery, there is relatively little swelling,

so the surgeon aligns both eyes as similarly as possible at that time and finishes the operation.

Therefore, even if the eyes look different during the recovery period due to swelling,

after the swelling subsides, the eyes will take on the expected shape.

Although we can estimate the surgical outcome based on experience and data accumulated through many cases,

surgery is performed by people,

and because various factors act at the same time,

things do not always turn out exactly as expected ^^;

At six months after surgery, the eyes had fully settled,

and we obtained the good result we had anticipated.

Procedures involving the double eyelid area are usually observed for anywhere from as little as 6 months to as long as 1 year.

Double eyelid removal surgery was also followed for 6 months,

and within that period, the desired result was achieved over time.

Both the double eyelids were removed and the uneven eyes were corrected.

A two-in-one result!!

If you compare the pre-surgery state with the fully settled result at 6 months after surgery,

the result of double eyelid removal surgery is very clear.
