[Rari Plastic Surgery] Double-Eyelid Removal Surgery That Corrects Three-White Eye Without Lower Eyelid Surgery

Today, once again, here are before-and-after photos of double-eyelid removal surgery.

Yes, this patient underwent double-eyelid removal surgery.

Before surgery, the patient had natural double eyelids, and because of ptosis, the muscles used to open the eyes were weak, so the eyes were not clearly open and looked tired, as if they were half-closed.

After surgery, the double eyelids were successfully removed,

and eye-opening correction was performed at the same time, so even though the double eyelids were gone,

the eyes did not become smaller; instead, they looked more defined.

The eyes look so beautiful after surgery, don’t they?!

There is something else we should look at here:

that is, three-white eye.

Looking at the eyes before surgery, not only were they not fully open because of ptosis,

but there was also significant three-white eye, which made the eyes look weak

and gave an even more dull impression.

For eyes like this, eye-opening correction can partially improve three-white eye.

Why is that?!

Simply put,

when ptosis is present, the muscle used to open the eyes in the upper eyelid is weak,

so from within, the patient unconsciously applies more force

and tries to lift the upper eyelid.

When that happens, the lower eyelid, which corresponds to it,

also pulls downward more forcefully, which can create three-white eye.

In this condition, if eye-opening correction surgery lifts the upper eyelid,

the upper eyelid can be opened easily with less effort,

so the force pulling down the lower eyelid also decreases, easing the three-white eye.

Looking at the after-surgery photos based on the above principle,

while performing double-eyelid removal surgery together with eye-opening correction, the eyes also became larger and more defined,

and you can see that the three-white eye improved significantly compared to before surgery.

From the side view, there is a difference in angle,

but three-white eye is visible even in the pre-surgery photo, where the gaze is slightly downward,

whereas after surgery, even while looking straight ahead clearly,

the eyes look natural without three-white eye.

Not only were the double eyelids removed as desired and the eyes made clearer,

but the three-white eye also improved—

isn’t that a complete three-in-one result?!?!!?!?!!!?!!

In order to remove double eyelids,

an incision and a small amount of skin removal are absolutely necessary,

so when the eyes are closed, a light incision mark will remain as a scar.

However, because the incision line is close to the eyelashes,

and because people spend far more time with their eyes open than closed,

you do not need to worry too much about a visible scar.
