Different Invisalign dental clinics have different ratings.
If you’ve been curious about the criteria and differences,
make sure to read today’s post!

When looking into orthodontic treatment that most of us already know well—fixed-wire braces—we found that Invisalign dental clinics have something that ordinary clinics do not.
That was the ‘rating.’
“Our clinic is an Invisalign ** rating.”
“Our clinic has received a △△ rating.”
But if you look closely, even the ratings were all different. Diamond, Platinum, and even different colors...
Seeing an unfamiliar rating system made it hard to know what 기준 to use when choosing an Invisalign dental clinic, and it was also unclear what the differences were, which made us wonder whether this was truly reliable information.
Today, we’ve organized information to help clear up those questions. We thought it might be helpful when choosing a clinic.
What is an Invisalign rating?

First, Invisalign ratings are divided into 11 levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold I, Gold II, Platinum, Platinum Elite, Diamond, Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, Diamond Red, and Diamond Purple.
Rather than one rating being better than another, they are determined by the number of Invisalign cases handled over one year, so it’s useful to use them as a reference when choosing an Invisalign dental clinic.
Handling a large number of cases does not necessarily mean better treatment, but because the rating is assigned solely based on case volume, it can serve as an objective benchmark in the sea of Invisalign orthodontic information.
In particular, the U.S. company Align Technology, which develops and manufactures Invisalign appliances, is directly involved, so there is no doubt that this is highly credible information.
So, what were the case-volume standards for each rating?
Looking at the criteria for each Invisalign rating

At present, the highest rating is Diamond Purple.
To receive it, a clinic must handle more than 1,500 Invisalign cases per year.
In Korea, clinics with the Diamond Purple rating are extremely rare, and one of them is Invisalign Dental Clinic ID Sinsa.
Another special point is that when the Purple rating was first introduced, ID Sinsa was also the first clinic in Korea to receive it.

However, since Invisalign ratings are based only on one-year periods, we recommended also looking at previous records.
For example, even if a clinic received Purple once, that does not mean it automatically keeps that rating every year. Even if it achieved a top rating the year before, it could record a different rating the next year.
In the case of ID Sinsa, as of the end of 2025, it had maintained the Red rating, which was the highest rating before Diamond Purple was introduced, for five consecutive years. (Red rating criteria: more than 1,000 cases per year)
The Red rating was also first received by ID Sinsa in 2021, and the fact that it continued to maintain it through 2025 also means that many people came to receive Invisalign orthodontic treatment.

So, as of January 2026, the cumulative number of Invisalign cases had exceeded 7,640. Since time has already passed, it seems safe to say that the record has continued to grow.
As a result, it was designated as an Invisalign-certified flagship clinic, and it continued to contribute to the development of the field by sharing orthodontic treatment know-how and procedural experience through regular conferences and meetings.
It handles only genuine appliances delivered directly from the U.S., and provides an authenticity certificate and official case, helping ensure reliable treatment.
Maintenance after Invisalign treatment is also important

If you received treatment through an Invisalign dental clinic, you also need to put effort into maintenance after treatment.
The reason is that our teeth have a tendency to return to their original positions.
In other words, if maintenance is neglected, the alignment may shift or become crooked again, and you may end up needing retreatment.
Therefore, when choosing a clinic, it’s good to refer to the rating, but it’s also worth finding out whether the clinic has the ‘stability’ to continue providing maintenance after treatment ends through long-term clinical experience.

In the case of ID Sinsa, it had maintained its location in Gangnam for about 20 years.
Although it was by no means a short period, the clinic was able to continue providing care thanks to the many patients who always came without hesitation and decided to proceed with treatment. And whenever patients who had received treatment told us, “It feels nice to come for regular checkups because you’re always in the same place,” we felt encouraged.
Through this, we came to understand just how important trust and stability are in orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign.
That is why we worked to become a reliable ‘my primary clinic’ that can help protect overall oral health through doctors in various specialties, not only orthodontic treatment.

And we knew very well that precision diagnosis and a treatment plan must support that trust in the background.
That is why Invisalign uses the 3D digital oral scanner iTero, moving away from the rubber impression method that patients had found so difficult, and greatly improving convenience during treatment.
By combining the patient’s actual oral shape and condition captured in 3D data, we were able to plan and fabricate step-by-step appliances and even predict orthodontic results.
Because the consultation and diagnosis process begins while sharing and communicating with the patient, the orthodontic treatment itself—which takes more than a year—can also begin “based on trust.”

As such, it is very important to look into what rating an Invisalign dental clinic has, what philosophy it holds, and what system it operates with before starting treatment.
As mentioned earlier, Invisalign ratings cannot be taken to mean that a clinic is better at treatment or is a better clinic overall, but because this is an orthodontic treatment approach different from conventional braces, ‘countless experience’ can translate into know-how, expertise, and skill, so I thought it would be a useful reference.

“Not simply
making teeth straight,
but also helping the face shape and smile look better”
ID Sinsa was doing its best with doctors and staff across each field to make orthodontic treatment like this possible.
If you are looking into an Invisalign dental clinic, I hope you will refer to what we discussed today and choose a place you can trust.
