Every time I take a photo,
my teeth bother me,
and if I get celebrity laminates,
does the overall impression really change?

Among patients looking into laminate treatment, many are especially influenced by celebrity teeth.
The teeth of celebrities seen on TV and YouTube often have a clean, well-aligned smile, but above all, their size and shape harmonize with their overall impression, which makes them even more eye-catching.
For this reason, many people think, “It looks pretty” or “It looks natural,” and interest in celebrity laminates seems to grow even more.

Not long ago, composer Yoon Il-sang, who has written numerous hit songs and continues to be active through various media such as Immortal Songs, visited us in person.
In fact, Mr. Yoon’s wife had already received laminates first, and because the treatment result was so good, he decided to undergo treatment as well after only having concerns for a long time.

He said that, as he not only appears on broadcast programs but also regularly films YouTube content, he wanted to leave a better impression with a more attractive smile.
As such, many people are actually getting celebrity laminates and visiting because they want them, and the important point was ‘which dental clinic they receive treatment from.’
At first glance, it may seem that the results would be the same no matter where the treatment is performed, but the outcome can differ depending on how and by medical staff (dental clinic) with what kind of philosophy the treatment is carried out.
Made through custom fabrication
My own custom laminate
Id Shin Sae ‘MyTE’ does not follow a formal tooth shape or template; above all, it is made in a custom way tailored to each individual’s unique impression and atmosphere.
“I want it to naturally match my smile and overall vibe.”
That is the style and treatment direction many people want these days, and to achieve that, we believed that 1:1 custom design is necessary.
Because functional issues such as chipped or gapped teeth also need to be addressed, rather than focusing only on aesthetic changes, we worked to create teeth that are closest to “my identity,” aiming for both aesthetics and function to improve satisfactorily.

At this stage, it should not be limited to checking only the teeth that need laminates. We implemented a 3D digital scan of the patient’s entire oral structure, from the gums to the teeth.
Based on the data, we analyzed the ratio between the gums and teeth, the size of each tooth, its shape, lines, and more, and proceeded with a custom design for prosthetics that would look most natural for the patient.

Also, from the consultation stage for celebrity laminates through design and prosthetic fabrication, a dedicated ceramist helped with a 1:1 one-step treatment process.
Rather than being involved only in the technical aspects, we also listened carefully to why the patient came in for treatment and what they were unhappy with, and then continued with the design and fabrication process. This made it possible to create laminates that fit the patient much better.

Instead of making them in a single pure white shade, we used 29 personal color shades to compare against the patient’s own tooth color and find the one tone that would blend in most harmoniously.
We selected the shade by considering not only the color of the teeth adjacent to the teeth receiving laminates, but also the color of the lips, the smile line, the skin tone, and the overall impression.
Because of this precise custom process, the treatment is created specifically for each patient, and remakes are very rare. (Remake rate under 1%)
Thinner than a contact lens,
but clear and durable laminates
These results were not achieved in just a day or two.
They were based on rich clinical experience, as we have been treating patients in Gangnam for more than 20 years in one location.
The accumulated know-how and technical skill are reflected in laminates that are even thinner than contact lenses.
We worked by hand to reduce the artificial look and achieve a thin yet natural translucency.
But thinner is not always better.

They had to be thin and translucent, but also strong. The “strength” absolutely could not be lacking.
Only when sufficient strength and adhesion are provided to withstand chewing force and various impacts can longevity increase.
That is why we used genuine high-end materials.
These materials show a fracture rate close to under 1%, so even from the treatment provider’s perspective, they are reliable materials to work with.
So, many patients ask whether MyTE is actually easier to break because it is so thin, but once we explain the materials as well, they trust us and proceed with treatment.
These are also the results of long-standing know-how and expertise.
By treating countless cases and accumulating data, the skill and expertise of highly trained medical staff were concentrated into the process.
A laminate you can trust,
with maintenance after treatment as well
Just like our teeth, which require lifelong care, laminates also need proper maintenance after treatment, so we provide MyTE care.
We offer customized care programs at 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year intervals.
Everyone knows why regular checkups are important.
Even if there are no symptoms, problems can occur inside the teeth, and accidents can suddenly cause prosthetics to break or come off. If you visit the dentist regularly, you can receive preventive treatment before such issues become bigger, and in emergency situations, you can respond quickly.

As such, when it comes to celebrity laminates, it is very important not just to check the visible conditions, but also to look into and confirm what the more important conditions are.
That is because the goal is not simply to receive pretty treatment like a celebrity, but to achieve a result that harmonizes well with me.
Rather than simply making the teeth white and smooth, it is necessary to understand my impression and atmosphere so that I can become naturally more attractive.
Therefore, laminates are not just about changing teeth; it is important to understand the unique identity that each patient has and interpret it in the best possible way.
I hope you will keep today’s information in mind and use it as a reference when choosing a dental clinic.
