Hello, this is Director Jo Hyun-woo of Injeungs Plastic Surgery.
Today I’ll be talking about removal after forehead fat grafting.
Sometimes during consultations, people ask how to solve it when forehead fat grafting has been done too much, or when one side is too prominent.
In fact, I personally was not specifically trying to remove forehead fat grafting.
About two years ago, a patient came to me saying that the issue had not been resolved even after visiting many places and asked me to remove the forehead fat grafting. After liposuction, the result was good, and they posted about it on an internet community or similar site. After that, patients would occasionally come through referrals, and that is how I started performing surgery to remove forehead fat grafting.
At first, I thought removing forehead fat grafting would be somewhat difficult.
That was because the fat that had taken hold between the forehead muscles would often not come out easily, and there was also a high possibility that the forehead would become uneven.
However, after following patients’ progress for about two years, the results were quite good, so I would like to introduce the cases.
The surgery is performed by making a needle-sized opening on the outer side of the eyebrow and removing the fat by suction.
It is a surgery that takes about 30 minutes, and I will show you photos of the fat removed from patients’ foreheads.

As you can see, a fairly large amount of fat can be removed even from a small forehead.
Of course, the solution used for tumescent infiltration is mixed in, but depending on the case, anywhere from 5cc to as much as 30cc can be removed.
I will show you a patient case.

This patient had forehead fat grafting done 5 years ago and wanted removal because it was too prominent and uneven.
A total of 30cc of fat was removed, and after surgery you can see that the overall volume decreased and the uneven areas improved.

This next patient especially wanted removal because the forehead looked too prominent from the side.
A total of 30cc of fat was removed, and after surgery the patient was also satisfied with the more natural forehead line.

This patient had excessive fat grafting to the forehead and temples 8 years ago and wanted removal.
A total of 13cc was removed from the forehead and 10cc from the temples, and after surgery the overall volume decreased and the forehead line became smoother.

Lastly, this patient was concerned about the area where fat grafting had been done too much when raising the forehead, and after surgery you can see that it became much flatter.
A total of 13cc was removed, and it improved greatly when raising or moving the forehead.
So far, I’ve talked about forehead fat graft removal surgery.
Removal of forehead fat grafting is not something that allows you to remove as much as you want, however.
It may not be 100% satisfaction or 100% removal, but for those who are worried about excessive forehead fat grafting, considering removal may still lead to a high level of satisfaction. Thank you.
