Today, we will take a look at Radiesse, which has recently been back in the spotlight as a volume filler and skin booster.
Radiesse

It is a long-lasting filler that improves skin wrinkles and hollowness and induces collagen production.
The main ingredient is calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA),
and it has been approved by the U.S. and Korean FDA for the purpose of improving wrinkles on the face and the backs of the hands.
Mechanism of Action of Radiesse

-
Immediate volume improvement
-
Induces collagen production (induces collagen types I/III and elastin production starting about 1 month after the procedure)
-
After the carrier gel is absorbed, the CaHA is replaced by a collagen structure and maintained (12–18 months).
Radiesse can be used anywhere, including facial contours, the backs of the hands, neck wrinkles, and deep wrinkles,
but it is especially effective when used for nasolabial folds and smile lines.

The average duration of Radiesse is 12 to 18 months, which is longer than other fillers,
and because of the collagen-producing effect in surrounding areas, skin elasticity and tone also improve after the procedure.
However, as the duration is good, side effects may also occur.
Common side effects
Swelling, bruising, pain, redness, itching-
Moderate side effects
Nodules, asymmetry, skin discoloration
Rare complications
Vascular occlusion, infection, hypersensitivity reactions
CaHA, the main ingredient in Radiesse, does not have an enzyme that can dissolve it,
so it is important to receive the procedure from experienced medical professionals.
Hyperdilution (Overdilution) Method
The reason Radiesse lost popularity for a while in the past was due to side effects caused by nodule formation,
but with the development of the hyperdilution method, which dilutes Radiesse appropriately for use,
safer and more effective procedures have become possible.

The Radiesse procedure is notable for its ability to improve skin elasticity and provide natural-looking volume enhancement.
It settles gently after 1 to 2 weeks, and then ongoing collagen production
creates an improvement in the skin itself, along with the resulting effect of better tone.
However, since this is a high-difficulty procedure where side effects may occur, it must be performed by experienced medical professionals
to safely achieve the best results.
If you carefully choose the procedure that is right for you, your satisfaction will be greater as well.
