The word “youthful” simply means looking younger than one’s age, but there are certain facial proportions and structural features behind it.

In general, a youthful face refers to one with large eyes, a short distance from the forehead to the eyes, and a short distance between the eyes and the mouth.

It gives the impression that the features are gathered toward the center of the face, and this proportion is similar to the characteristics of an infant’s face.

Therefore, youthful faces often have a shape that is short vertically and wide horizontally.

In contrast, a long face can give a more mature or older impression.

In plastic surgery, facial proportions and contours are often considered more important than the features themselves when it comes to the youthful image.
