At Live Dental Hospital, we held an “Alginate Impression & Border Molding” seminar for dental hygienists! 🦷✨

💡 What are alginate impression & border molding?

✔ Alginate impression: the process of taking an impression of a patient’s oral structure,

an essential step for producing accurate prosthetics.

✔ Border molding: the process of shaping the edges so that prosthetics such as dentures

can be stably positioned in the oral cavity.

This seminar was conducted with a curriculum that balanced theory and practice!

🔹 Part 1 – Theoretical education on alginate impression and border molding, plus individual hands-on practice

🔹 Part 2 – Paired mutual practice taking impressions on each other

To make it useful in actual clinical practice,

this was an educational session where participants learned by directly practicing the theory.

Thanks to the active participation of the instructors,

it was an even more meaningful and beneficial time! 😊
