Fourth, the aging process.

As we age, the outer enamel gradually becomes thinner,

and the relatively yellowish dentin becomes more visible,

and this change may be perceived as discoloration.

Laminate veneers are a method of improving color and shape by attaching a thin ceramic restoration to the front surface of the tooth; if needed, the surface can be minimally prepared, or in some cases, the veneers can be bonded without tooth reduction.

If whitening changes color chemically,
