Mok-dong InMode Lifting to Fat Management
Why It’s Possible All at Once
Mok-dong InMode

Hello.
I’m Kim Jin-hyeon, Chief Director at You&I Clinic Mok-dong Branch.
InMode is a procedure that has drawn a lot of attention because it can aim for both lifting and fat reduction with a single device.
It is commonly called InMode lifting,
but in fact, InMode can be seen as a multifunctional device that uses radiofrequency energy to improve skin elasticity and manage fat at the same time.
By using customized handpieces for different areas of the face and body, it can be applied in various ways depending on the goal, such as reducing localized fat or improving skin elasticity.
Today, let’s take some time to look at the widely known “InMode” procedure.

What kind of procedure is InMode?
InMode is not simply a device that uses only one handpiece; it is equipment that allows an approach tailored to the skin condition and treatment goal by switching between multiple types of modules.

InMode device
The basic principle is to generate radiofrequency energy and transfer heat to the skin and fat layer, thereby inducing tissue contraction and collagen regeneration.
When radiofrequency is applied, heat is generated by resistance within the tissue.
As a result, when the subcutaneous fat layer or dermis reaches a certain temperature or higher, fat cells are damaged or destroyed, or collagen fibers contract and regenerate, which can lead to improved elasticity.
The FX and FORMA handpieces are among the most well-known.

FX mode
FX mainly targets localized fat and cellulite improvement.
It combines vacuum suction and radiofrequency energy to induce fat cell destruction and help slim the contours through the body’s lymphatic drainage process.

FORMA mode
FORMA can be thought of simply as radiofrequency lifting.
It is used in various ways to reduce fine wrinkles and improve skin elasticity.
Because it is applied gently to localized areas of the face or to the entire face, swelling or bruising is relatively uncommon, making it one of the procedures that allows you to return to daily life right away.
Thanks to InMode’s various handpieces, different concerns such as facial lifting and body fat reduction can be addressed relatively simply with one device.
That is why many people are interested in InMode procedures.

InMode effects
Let’s take a closer look at which areas InMode can help manage.

InMode device
< Lifting and elasticity improvement >
Using the FORMA mode, it can help improve fine wrinkles and loss of elasticity in the face and neck area.

FORMA mode
Collagen remodeling takes place through radiofrequency heat, giving the skin a tighter and firmer feeling.
It helps raise sagging cheeks or the jawline to some extent, helping restore a smoother contour.
< Fat reduction and cellulite management >
The FX mode mainly targets fat cells.

FX mode
It helps with body contouring by targeting localized areas that are hard to reduce with exercise alone, such as the abdomen, thighs, upper arms, and sides.
The area is fixed with vacuum suction and radiofrequency heat is delivered, causing thermal damage to fat cells and promoting their elimination from the body.
Bumpy cellulite is also a condition in which connective tissue and fat are imbalanced, so radiofrequency energy can help improve blood and lymphatic circulation and smooth the appearance.
< Pore and skin texture improvement >
By stimulating the dermis, it can also help to some extent with pore reduction, easing acne scars, and managing skin texture.

Heat stimulation can reduce excessive sebum secretion, and the epidermis and dermis can regenerate more evenly, which may have a positive effect on the skin overall.

Precautions after the procedure
Although InMode is a non-surgical procedure that uses radiofrequency heat, pre- and post-treatment care is very important for more efficient treatment.
Due to the nature of radiofrequency procedures, temporary warmth, redness, or slight swelling may occur in the treated area.

In general, these symptoms often subside within 1 to 2 days, but it is recommended to avoid very hot saunas, jjimjilbang, or intense exercise on the day of the procedure.
If needed, cold compresses or soothing creams may help relieve heat and swelling.
The interval or schedule for repeat treatments varies by person, but it is adjusted slightly according to the target area or mode at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks or 2 to 4 weeks.
Usually, 3 to 5 repeated sessions are recommended, and afterward, if you continue treatment while gradually extending the interval according to elasticity or fat condition, it will help you maintain the desired results for a longer period.

So far, we have looked at information about InMode.
Of course, InMode alone cannot completely solve every concern.
For severe sagging or excessive fat, it may need to be combined with other procedures.
In addition, if diet and lifestyle are not properly managed, long-term maintenance may be difficult.
Therefore, before treatment, it is very important to discuss in detail with the medical staff how much fat you want to reduce and how much elasticity you want to improve, and to establish a treatment schedule and aftercare plan together.
I hope this article helps you proceed with InMode treatment in a smarter way.^^
