This is one of the questions that comes up often among people considering skin treatments these days. Since the names look similar on the surface, it is only natural that the difference is hard to understand. However, in reality, the two products differ quite a bit in terms of purpose, treatment method, injection layer, and effects.

Is the focus on improving skin texture?

Or is the focus on restoring volume?

If treatment is performed without making this distinction, you may actually end up farther from the results you want. So in today’s post, I have put together the structural differences between Juvelook and Juvelook Volume, the appropriate treatment methods, and key application points for different situations, so please stay with me until the end.

Juvelook VS Juvelook Volume

Both Juvelook and Juvelook Volume are products based on PLA ingredients. However, the important point is that even with the same ingredient, the function can differ depending on how it is processed and how the structure is injected.

Juvelook is characterized by relatively low viscosity and dispersibility, with particles averaging 24μm.

It is mainly used when a fine, diffused stimulus across a wide area is needed, such as for improving skin texture, enhancing elasticity, and smoothing fine lines. Juvelook Volume has particles averaging 51μm and a relatively high-viscosity formulation, making it advantageous when deeper structural stimulation is desired.

In other words, it can work by building a support structure in depressed or sagging areas.

(What should not be confused here is that Juvelook Volume does not instantly create shape like a filler. Its main mechanism is gradual volume improvement through collagen remodeling.)

Even if the products are based on the same ingredient, differences in viscosity, particle size, and injection layer can lead to different results. That is why you should not think of Juvelook and Juvelook Volume as exactly the same.

Injection layers that vary by product

The important point during treatment is the injection layer.

Although these products are made from the same ingredients, responses can differ depending on whether they are injected into the dermal layer or the subcutaneous layer.

In the case of Juvelook, it is often injected so that it spreads densely through the mid-dermis.

It is injected thinly and widely, which is beneficial for promoting collagen regeneration and helping to smooth out skin texture.

On the other hand, Juvelook Volume is often injected more deeply, usually into the subcutaneous fat layer or above the fascial layer.

The goal is to restore structural volume by placing it as if supporting the skin from below.

Sometimes the two products are used together, but in such cases it is even more important to check the skin layers thoroughly and perform the procedure accordingly. Because the particle size and concentration differ by product, layer-specific injection is recommended.

Product application points by situation

“ My skin is thin, but it also looks like I lack volume. ”

“ I want to treat forehead wrinkles, which one should I use? ”

This is the part that many people find confusing. When the skin is thin, fine lines are numerous, and loss of elasticity is noticeable, Juvelook may be more helpful. Because it is injected densely, it can help improve skin texture and contribute to collagen production even in thin tissue.

Conversely, if there is pronounced hollowing below the cheekbones or structural indentations in areas such as the forehead or nasolabial folds, Juvelook Volume may be more suitable. In these cases, a product with larger particles is needed to help restore volume, as if building a firm support.

As such, the important thing before choosing a product is to clearly understand your treatment purpose and skin structure. You need to properly distinguish whether the skin is thin or thick, whether the issue is hollowing or sagging, or whether the situation calls for volume supplementation because subcutaneous fat has diminished rather than simply needing improved elasticity. Only then can an appropriate product be selected.
