더마브이레이저

Hello.
I’m Kim Jin-hyun, the chief director of UNNI Clinic Mok-dong.
One of the concerns many people find frustrating is pigment within the skin.
There are cases where it appears in clear forms such as spots, melasma, and freckles, but even when the skin looks generally dull, it can still be related to pigment issues.
How should such a troublesome and varied pigment problem be managed?
For those who are concerned, I would like to introduce the ‘DermaV Laser.’

What is the DermaV Laser?

This is DermaV^^
The DermaV Laser is a treatment device that can help reduce redness and visible blood vessels while also treating pigment at the same time.
There are not many devices that can target in one place both lesions such as melasma and spots, as well as red lesions such as facial redness and rosacea.
For this reason, the DermaV Laser is often used effectively in dermatologic procedures.
Let me explain the DermaV Laser in a bit more detail.
First, because it uses two wavelengths, it can target both melanin pigment and vascular lesions at the same time.

The 532nm wavelength is mainly absorbed by melanin pigment in the epidermis and is often used to precisely remove brown lesions such as spots and melasma.
The 1064nm wavelength reaches deeper layers of the skin and is useful for working on lesions such as dilated capillaries, redness, and red acne marks.
Another feature is that it is not simply a procedure that ends with removing and breaking down something.
While helping the pigment or vascular lesions accumulated in the skin gradually fade, it often also stimulates the dermis in the process, inducing collagen regeneration and tissue remodeling as well.
As a result, enlarged blood vessels may settle down, skin tone may become more even, and the skin texture may look smoother and firmer.

Then can DermaV improve facial redness or rosacea too?
Yes, it can help to some extent.
Of course, in the case of redness, there are so many different causes that treatment with the DermaV Laser alone may not be enough.
However, in cases of redness where capillary dilation is observed or where facial flushing occurs easily depending on temperature changes, treatment with the DermaV Laser may be possible.
The 1064nm wavelength can be selectively absorbed by hemoglobin in blood vessels, which may help constrict excessively dilated vessels and control inflammation.
Of course, it cannot be used for every facial redness symptom, but when pigment and vascular lesions are mixed together, it is worth noting that efficient treatment may be possible with the DermaV Laser alone ^^!

What is the downtime after a DermaV Laser procedure?

The DermaV Laser has a relatively well-equipped cooling system, which can help prevent pain or discomfort during the procedure.
Since it is relatively easy to prevent epidermal damage compared with the laser output, returning to daily life is also relatively quick.
(Please note that these reactions may vary slightly depending on an individual’s skin type ^^)
However, that does not mean it should be repeated without any plan.

In general, it is important to adjust the customized treatment interval every 1–4 weeks depending on skin response and the degree of change in the lesion, and to design the intensity and number of sessions according to the individual’s skin condition.
Occasionally, side effects such as redness or mild stinging may occur, but in most cases they subside naturally, so there is usually no need to worry too much.
However, please remember that if the symptoms are too severe, or if redness or stinging persists for more than a week, you must have a follow-up consultation to take the appropriate measures!

Existing pigment treatments are often focused mainly on targeting melanin.
But in actual diagnosis, visible blood vessels may appear alongside melasma, and even after spots disappear, the face can still look dull.
In such cases, the DermaV Laser can target various lesions using dual wavelengths, helping make the treatment approach relatively simpler.
I sincerely hope today’s post was helpful.
