If you're worried about scars after mole removal treatment at Mokdong Branch?
Mokdong mole removal
Hello.
I’m Kim Jin-hyun, chief director at U&I Clinic Mokdong Branch.

“I want to remove a mole, but I’m hesitant because I’m worried a scar might form and make me even more self-conscious.”
Once a mole on the face starts to bother you, it tends to keep catching your eye every time you look in the mirror.
So you may consider mole removal treatment, but the concern that ‘won’t it leave a scar?’ naturally comes along as well.
Today, to help ease those concerns, I’ll organize the essential things you should know, from the types of moles to effective removal methods and post-procedure care.

What are the types and causes of moles?
When people think of a “mole,” they usually imagine a small black or brown spot, but in reality, the spots that appear on the skin vary widely in type and cause.
There are various types of pigmented lesions, including flat moles caused by localized melanin buildup in the epidermis, as well as freckles, age spots, nevi, and erythema.

However, the type and cause of a mole cannot be judged simply by how visible it is.
Whether it is in the epidermis or spread into the dermis, whether the borders are clear, whether the color is uniform, and its size or depth all affect the treatment method and intensity.
Without a thorough skin diagnosis and analysis, it is difficult to expect satisfying results.

Therefore, before treatment, use precise diagnostic equipment such as Mark-Vu to examine the skin condition three-dimensionally,
then identify what kind of mole it is and decide how it should be removed.
It may seem a little cumbersome, but that is how you can avoid unnecessary irritation to the skin, reduce concerns about scars, and expect effective results. ^^

How does Clarity II work?
Mole removal treatment has become so common that it may seem very simple.
However, in reality, it requires technology that can precisely target pigment while minimizing skin damage.
The treatment results and recovery speed can vary greatly depending on which device is used.

CO2 lasers are commonly used for mole removal, but the Clarity II laser can also be used.
Since many of you may already be familiar with CO2 carbon dioxide lasers, I’ll introduce the Clarity II device in this post.
Clarity II is a combined laser equipped with two wavelengths: a 755nm Alexandrite laser and a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser.
Each wavelength can precisely target different pigmented lesions depending on the depth of the skin, allowing customized treatment with a single device, from superficial freckles to deep dermal moles, which is a major advantage.
For example, the 755nm wavelength is suitable for moles located close to the epidermis, while the 1064nm wavelength is more effective for deeper dermal layers.
In addition, Clarity II has a function that automatically recognizes the skin condition and adjusts the energy, improving safety and precision according to skin type.

However, no matter which device is used, it is difficult for the device’s performance to be fully demonstrated without the medical staff’s diagnostic ability and clinical experience.
So it is very important to design a customized treatment plan and adjust the intensity according to the type of mole and skin condition.

How can you improve the results?
Even if the mole removal treatment goes well, scars or pigmentation can appear if post-treatment care is insufficient.
In fact, the recovery stage can be said to be even more important than the procedure itself.
First, the wound area should be kept clean without irritation.
Leaving a bandage on for too long without changing it, or frequently touching the wound and preventing it from healing well, can interfere with recovery.
It is best to use a regenerative dressing such as Duoderm and change it cleanly once or twice a day.

Also, never forcibly remove the scab.
Waiting until it falls off naturally is the key to healing without scars.
Finally, sun protection is essential.
Because the skin right after treatment is much more sensitive than usual, exposure to sunlight can lead to excessive melanin production and result in pigmentation.
So when going বাইরে, please manage it carefully with a mask, hat, sunscreen, and similar protection.

Today, I covered the essential points for those looking into mole removal at Mokdong Branch.
Mole removal may seem like a simple procedure, but if you want good results, you must pay close attention to these three things.
A precise skin diagnosis, careful treatment, and thorough aftercare—when these three are in harmony, you can expect satisfying results.
I hope today’s post helps those considering mole removal receive a treatment that matches their skin condition.
