Looking Into Mokdong InMode Lifting Results?
We’ll Explain With Objective Journal Data

"Does InMode lifting really work?"
"Isn’t there a way to check it with objective data,
rather than ads?"
When you start looking into lifting procedures,
there are so many reviews and advertisements that
it can actually become harder to judge.
Some people say it’s good, while others say it’s not,
so it’s only natural to feel confused about what
standard to trust.
That’s why today, instead of reviews, I’ll organize
the effects of InMode RF lifting based on journal
data.
If you read for just 3 minutes, you’ll have a
standard for judging based on evidence,
not just intuition.

problem?

To understand the effects of InMode, it helps first
to know why facial sagging happens.
Many people think sagging is simply "the skin
stretching out," but in reality, it is a complex
phenomenon that occurs as multiple layers of tissue
beneath the skin change together.

From the outside inward, our face is structured in
layers: the dermis, subcutaneous fat and the fibrous
septa that divide it, the SMAS
(superficial musculoaponeurotic system), retaining
ligaments, and deep fascia.
As we age, collagen in these layers becomes
fragmented, retaining ligaments loosen,
and fat compartments shift downward, causing the jawline
to collapse and a double chin to form.

To put it another way, it’s not just the building’s
outer walls that have aged—the internal framework and
columns have also weakened.
That’s why there is a limit to approaches that only
pull on the skin surface, and a method that tightens
all the way down to the deeper layers is needed.
So then, what kind of changes does the RF technology
of the InMode platform actually create in these deep
layers? Let’s look at the journal data.

Deep Layer Radiofrequency Thermo-coagulative
Technology for Cervicofacial Contouring:
Sonographic and Clinical Results
I’ll summarize a paper published in an international
journal in 2020.
This study was a prospective cohort study conducted at
Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Israel, involving 10
women aged 52 to 76.
Using a bipolar temperature-controlled RF device based
on the InMode platform, the lower face and neck were
treated just once,
and the effects were objectively measured through
ultrasound and clinical photographs.
The participants were Baker class 1 to 2, meaning mild
to moderate sagging.

Fig 3. After the procedure, facial layer thickness decreased from 1.78 cm to
1.2 cm, while echogenicity and HEPS (hyperechoic particle) values increased
significantly, indicating actual tissue contraction and collagen production.
Looking at the key results, ultrasound measurements at
6 weeks after treatment showed a significant decrease in
tissue thickness in all three areas.
The submental area showed the greatest reduction at 19%,
while the lateral neck decreased by 16%, and the lower
face by 6%.
All areas showed statistically significant results.

Fig 4. Six weeks after RFTC treatment, the thickness of the submental fat
layer decreased from 1.98 cm to 1.35 cm, leading to fat breakdown and tissue
contraction, and the liquefied fat was replaced by newly formed collagen,
improving elasticity.
In addition, the ultrasound echogenicity brightness,
which reflects collagen content, increased by 149% in
the lateral neck, 78% in the lower face,
and 60% in the submental area, which means new collagen
was generated in the space where fat had decreased.
The paper explains this phenomenon as "liquefied fat
being replaced by newly formed collagen."

The clinical results are also noteworthy.
At 12 months, the Merz jawline scale measured by two
independent evaluating physicians improved from a pre-
treatment average of 2.85 to 1.05 after treatment.
In simple terms, moderate sagging improved by more than
one level to the mild range,
and lower-face contour improvement averaged 3.8 points,
which corresponds to a 50% to 75% improvement.
Patient satisfaction was 3.5 out of 4, and there were
no notable adverse findings except temporary swelling in
one person.
The significance of this study is that it was the first
prospective study to objectively demonstrate through
ultrasound that InMode RF energy reaches deep layers
below the SMAS and achieves both collagen contraction
and fat breakdown at the same time.
While conventional RF technology had been limited to
planar tightening at the dermal level,
this technology showed a new direction: three-dimensional
tissue contraction that includes deeper layers.
- If you’re considering InMode lifting, things worth
knowing
Mokdong InMode
Even if the journal data is impressive, the same results
cannot be expected for everyone.
As the study limited participants to Baker class 1 to 2,
it is a procedure suited for those with mild to moderate
sagging,
and in cases of severe sagging, a surgical approach may be
more appropriate.

Also, collagen contraction from RF begins immediately
after treatment,
but it takes several months for collagen remodeling to be
completed.
As you can tell from the fact that the study’s ultrasound
measurements were taken at 6 weeks and clinical evaluation
at 12 months,
final results appear gradually over time.
Post-procedure care such as wearing a facial strap or
lymphatic massage may also affect the outcome, so after the
procedure,
it is best to check the instructions carefully.

Lastly, rather than focusing on the device name, it is
important to check whether the clinic can accurately assess
your degree of sagging, fat distribution, and skin condition,
and then design the appropriate energy settings and treatment
plan for your case.
So far, for those looking into Mokdong InMode lifting, I’ve
summarized the effects of InMode RF and the points to keep in
mind based on journal data.
Judging by evidence rather than advertising is the start of a
choice you won’t regret.
