Mokdong Juvelook
Hello.
This is 유앤아이의원 목동점.
"My acne marks were left so deep that even foundation couldn't cover them."
Acne itself disappears over time,
but scars left where inflammation was deep
are not easy to recover from naturally
because the skin's structure itself has changed.
This is because scars are a state in which
collagen in the dermis has been damaged,
causing the skin to become depressed.

Therefore, it is difficult to achieve systematic improvement
through methods that only care for the skin's surface,
and treatments that induce regeneration
from the dermal layer are needed.
This is why the Juvelook skin booster
is receiving attention for improving depressed scars:
its key benefit lies in “regeneration.”
Today, based on an actual research paper,
we will look at everything from how scars form
to the principles and effects by which Juvelook
helps heal skin scars.

- Why do depressed scars form?
Mokdong Juvelook
Acne scars are broadly
divided into three types.
Ice pick scars,
which are sharply indented at the base
Rolling scars,
which are broadly depressed like waves
Boxcar scars,
which have clearly defined edges

Among these, depressed scars are the most common type.
They occur as collagen is produced and broken down
irregularly during the inflammatory process.
Simply put, the more severe the inflammation,
the more the collagen fibers in the dermis
are broken down by enzymes,
leaving the area improperly filled
and causing the skin to sink.
In other words, depressed scars are not a problem
with the skin's surface, but a state in which
the structure of the dermis itself has collapsed.
Therefore, inducing regeneration is the key to treatment.
That is why PDLLA, a biostimulator
that induces regeneration, is receiving attention. ^^
- How PDLLA heals scars
Mokdong Juvelook
A paper published in the international journal
Skin Research and Technology in 2024
explains through various effects that PDLLA
is not a filler that simply restores volume,
but a biostimulating substance that stimulates
collagen production within the skin
and induces cellular regeneration.
Specifically, various skin-regenerating effects were confirmed,
including extracellular matrix (ECM) regeneration,
type I and type III collagen regeneration,
basement membrane regeneration,
elastic fiber recovery, stem cell differentiation and recruitment,
and proliferation of dermal fibroblasts.

According to this paper, PDLLA
showed excellent effects across overall skin regeneration
when compared with other collagen stimulators.
Following five treatments in Korean participants,
with follow-up observations at 12 and 22 weeks,
improvement in depressed scars and skin texture
was confirmed, and the results remained stable
through the 22-week mark.

Fig 5. 44-year-old woman, right cheek area
Before treatment (A) / 22 weeks after the final treatment (B)
In both cases, images showed that
the depth of the depressed scars had been reduced
and the skin surface had improved evenly
at 22 weeks after treatment.
Mild discomfort during treatment
and temporary redness and swelling were reported,
but no adverse reactions, such as nodules or inflammation,
were observed during the 22-week follow-up period.
- What makes Juvelook different
<The Difference in Ingredient Structure>
Mokdong Juvelook
Among PDLLA-based products,
the one used in this paper
was Juvelook.
Juvelook is a combination ingredient
consisting of 50 mg of PDLLA made up of small particles
under 50 μm, combined with 7.5 mg of hyaluronic acid (HA).

In particular, approximately 80% of each particle
has a sponge-like structure filled with air,
which gives it high moisture-retention capacity
and allows it to gradually break down in the body.
As a result, during the breakdown process,
it continuously stimulates collagen production
and helps the skin regenerate on its own.
In addition, because of its small particle size,
it can be distributed evenly within the dermis,
so uniform improvement can be expected
even in detailed scar areas.
While a typical filler works by adding volume,
Juvelook is closer to a process that stimulates
regeneration signals within the skin
and remodels collagen.
The key to scar treatment is not simply filling the area,
but helping the skin regenerate on its own.
If you understand how the ingredients work
within the skin and what effects can be expected
and make your choice accordingly,
you may be able to expect satisfactory results.
We hope this article has been helpful
to the many people struggling with depressed scars,
and we will conclude here. ^^
