Hello, this is Gangnam Leong Dental Clinic๐
The Lunar New Year holiday, which started from the weekend,
How are you spending it?
โ๏ธ
Gangnam Leong Dental Clinic is open for regular treatment
until 7 PM today, the temporary public holiday!
We hope you can spend a fun time together
with your family, catching up and enjoying delicious holiday foods.
However, holiday foods are different from usual
because they often include many hard or sticky items,
which makes them more likely to cause dental problems.
So, here are some simple precautions and tips
for how to take care of your teeth during the holiday period!

Be careful about prostheses and orthodontic appliances coming off!
Eating tough, hard, and sticky foods
can cause prostheses such as inlays, crowns, or orthodontic brackets attached to teeth
to come off.
When eating these foods, chew on the opposite side
where there is no prosthesis,
and it is also best to avoid them as much as possible.
However, if a prosthesis does come off,
visit a dental clinic that is open during the holiday period,
or if there is no major discomfort even after it comes off,
it is better to be careful until the holiday ends
and then visit the dental clinic where you receive treatment.
If the prosthesis came off with relatively little damage,
it may be possible to reattach it,
so keep it well and bring it with you when you visit.
If the detached prosthesis is causing severe pain,
visit a place that provides emergency treatment right away
and receive simple care.

Be careful not to damage your teeth!
If it is not a prosthesis,
but you bite something hard while eating
or hit something and your tooth cracks or breaks,
the response will differ depending on the symptoms.
If the tooth breaks and pain develops,
and it becomes unbearable,
emergency treatment is also necessary.
If needed, root canal treatment or even a crown
may be required.

If treatment is in progress, avoiding alcohol is essential!
If you have started root canal treatment
and it has not yet been completed,
or if you have had a tooth extraction or implant surgery
and the area has not fully healed,
you should refrain from drinking alcohol.
If you drink alcohol during the treatment process
or while recovering,
it may cause inflammation in the open gums
around the treatment area.

Tips for preventing dental problems!
Enjoy holiday foods,
but pay attention to and prevent anything that could harm your dental health!
โ
Avoid tough and hard foods
Do not force yourself to chew sticky foods,
foods that put strong pressure on your teeth,
or hard foods;
consume them in moderation.
โ
Maintain thorough oral hygiene
In addition to brushing your teeth after meals,
use dental floss or mouthwash
to make sure sticky and tough foods
are completely removed,
and pay attention to your oral hygiene.

After the holidays, it is important to have a dental checkup
to look for signs of cavities or gum disease
and to check the condition of your prostheses or orthodontic appliances!
Today, we shared helpful teeth-care tips
for the long holiday.
We hope you enjoy the rest of the Lunar New Year holiday
