Causes of White Spots

White spots that appear on the surface of the teeth

may be, as mentioned above,

a symptom of early tooth decay.

However, white spots can also appear even when there is no tooth decay due to

✅ congenital factors, ✅ trauma,

✅ insufficient nutrients during development, or

✅ excessive fluoride exposure!

Cavities vs. White Spots

🦷 If the white spot is an early sign of tooth decay,

it is still at a stage before the tooth has begun to decay extensively.

With proper care or preventive treatment,

it is possible to prevent the cavity from becoming deeper.

However, if oral hygiene is not properly maintained,

the decay will gradually deepen and develop into the familiar appearance of a cavity.

there is no major problem even without treatment

because it does not change over time.

so treatment is not necessary.

However, as mentioned above,
