Hello.
Today, I brought an open bite correction case.
This patient also came through a referral,
and came to us after being told at several places that it would be difficult without surgery.
I also carefully analyzed the patient at first, cautiously guessing that it might not be fully possible.
Fortunately, the patient's case was an open bite caused by only the most posterior molars contacting first,
so we placed two mini-screws each on the buccal and lingual sides,
and resolved it by pushing the posterior molars upward into the gum.

If you look at the photo, the open area in the front teeth
has closed,
and the protrusion has also been improved.
For this patient, we also extracted four premolars to address the protrusion.
In general,
when protrusion is improved, the bite tends to get deeper,
and we used that in reverse to improve the open bite.
I was glad to help the patient regain their smile, and personally, it was also a case that left a strong impression because good things happened and they also got a job.
I hope everyone has a peaceful day with the people you love today as well.
