Gangnam thread lift
Hello,
More than 50% of our visiting patients come through referrals,
and we have accumulated over 2,000 surgical cases from existing referred patients.
We are Vanny Plastic Surgery, practicing proper and honest medical care.
Skin sagging is more than just a simple sign of aging;
it is an important issue that can significantly change facial contours and appearance.
If you have been worried every time you look in the mirror and see a face line with reduced elasticity, a thread lift may help.
In particular, since it can provide improvement without surgery, many people are looking into thread lifts.
However, simply inserting threads does not always produce the same result.
Understanding anatomical structures, precise thread placement, and a careful assessment of the patient’s skin condition are very important.
Today, we will look at the principles of thread lifting,
and focus on real cases to explain who it is suitable for,
as well as what should be considered.

Gangnam thread lift: how does it create a lifting effect?
A thread lift is a non-surgical lifting method that uses special medical threads to physically pull up the skin
while also inducing collagen production within the skin to promote long-term elasticity improvement.
The inserted threads temporarily act as support to lift the skin,
and over time they stimulate the skin, activate fibroblasts, and promote collagen regeneration.
This allows for an immediate lifting effect right after the procedure,
followed by improved elasticity and skin texture.

Since side effects after the procedure (inflammatory reactions) may occur,
please make your decision after proper consultation with the medical staff.
Types of threads used in Gangnam thread lift procedures
The threads used in thread lifting are typically made of PDO, PLLA, or PCL.
PDO is safely broken down in the body within about 6 months after insertion into the skin and stimulates collagen production.
PLLA breaks down more slowly and stimulates collagen over a longer period, so its effects tend to last longer.
PCL has a firmer structure, provides stronger lifting power, and has the longest degradation period,
making it suitable for those who want longer-lasting results.
Because there are so many different types of thread lifting,
it is important to choose the right thread based on the patient’s skin condition, the area needing lifting, and the desired duration of effect.

Why the anatomical structure of the treatment area must be examined
A thread lift is not simply a procedure that places threads under the skin.
The face contains a complex mix of anatomical structures such as facial muscles, sensory nerves, major blood vessels, and fat layers,
so threads must be inserted while accurately understanding and avoiding these structures in order to expect safe and natural results.
For example, if a thread touches a branch of the facial nerve or passes through the facial artery area,
side effects such as paralysis, pain, or hematoma may occur, which is why the practitioner’s anatomical knowledge is extremely important.
In addition, for the lifting effect to last, the thread must properly engage the SMAS layer, a key point in Gangnam thread lifting,
and only when a treatment plan is established by comprehensively considering these factors can satisfying results be achieved.

The photos above show the before-and-after results of a customer who received a Gangnam thread lift at our Vanny Plastic Surgery clinic.
In the photos, it is noticeable that the facial line improved, especially the sagging beside the mouth and the midface area.
The overall facial contour looks smoother, and the jawline is more clearly defined.
You can see that the skin has been refined naturally without excessive pulling,
which is because the threads were not simply inserted and pulled forcefully;
rather, they were placed precisely based on anatomy and pulled with appropriate tension for each area.

Gangnam thread lift: suitable for these people.
-
When the skin is thin and elasticity has decreased, but surgery feels burdensome
-
When sagging around the mouth, jawline, or cheekbone area is becoming more noticeable
-
When you want natural recovery along with immediate effects
-
When repeated filler procedures feel burdensome and you want structural improvement
A thread lift is not just a cosmetic procedure,
but a highly advanced treatment that delicately handles facial structure,
so sufficient consultation and the judgment of experienced medical staff are necessary.
We recommend receiving the procedure at a dermatology clinic you can trust for its expertise.
That concludes today’s explanation of Gangnam thread lifting.
The skin layer and angle where the threads are inserted,
as well as the type and amount of threads,
must all be thoroughly calculated in order to expect a more satisfying result,
so please keep in mind that you should not assume the outcome will be similar no matter which dermatology clinic performs the procedure.
At our Vanny Plastic Surgery clinic, we design lifts tailored to each individual’s facial structure based on anatomical understanding,
and we increase patient satisfaction through sufficient pre-procedure consultation and simulation.
If you want a lift that considers not only the insertion of threads,
but the overall skin and facial structure,
please feel free to consult with us at Vanny Plastic Surgery anytime.
Thank you.
