1. Precautions after bone grafting for implants

Usually, implant placement and bone grafting are performed together,

so the precautions are not explained separately.

In fact, there are more things to be careful about after implant placement,

so the bone grafting precautions are relatively simple.

✅ Brush your teeth as usual, except for the surgical area

✅ If white powder comes out, rinse your mouth

White powder does not always come out,

so it is fine to just remember this general flow.

2. Precautions after implant surgery

As I mentioned earlier,

there are more things you need to follow after surgery.

First, there may be temporary pain, bleeding, and so on,

but these usually go away within a week,

so you can feel at ease. If pain or bleeding continues,

you must call the dental clinic.

Also, be sure to take your medication,

and do not irritate the surgical area.

I think most people already know this part.

Also, since the anesthesia wears off after about 1 to 3 hours,

it is best to eat after that if possible.

Also, the gauze placed after surgery

can be removed after 2 hours.

Cold compresses help with swelling and pain,

so please keep doing them for one to two days~

For meals on the day after bone grafting for implants,

have porridge or rice gruel,

and after that, regular meals are also possible,

but please avoid hot or spicy foods!

Also, for any type of surgery,

you should avoid drinking alcohol, smoking, and exercising after the procedure.

At least for more than a week. Please also avoid hot baths for 3 days.
