Hello, this is Seoul Centum Dental Clinic.

When people think of implants, many assume they are a treatment for middle-aged and older adults, right?

That is true to a large extent.

However, we also often see patients in their 20s to 40s,

and since it seems like there isn’t enough information,

today we’ll explain a treatment case for a younger patient as well,

covering a molar implant and anterior zirconia prosthetic treatment.^^

2024. Consultation details for an implant in your 20s

At the first visit, the patient only wanted an examination,

and their request was clear.

First of all, they wanted to have the front tooth that had been treated before treated again,

because they were not aesthetically satisfied with it.

Since they are in their 20s,

the front teeth, which are easily visible, were a concern.

In addition, there was a broken tooth with only the root left,

and they wanted treatment for that area.

2024. Implant placement in your 20s

The patient visited after losing a total of 3 lower right molars.

After removing the existing bridge,

we diagnosed that even placing only 2 implants would restore both function and aesthetics.

Fortunately, bone grafting was not necessary,

so no additional procedure was performed.

The surgery was successfully completed,

and we planned to restore the prosthesis after 3 months.

While waiting for the implant surgery site in the 20s implant case to heal well,

we also carried out the front-tooth treatment the patient wanted.

We removed all of the existing filling material

and treated the newly developed secondary decay.

After that, we also restored the zirconia prosthesis.

We also carefully monitored the progress after the implant surgery.^^

After the first implant surgery,

usually there is not much need to visit the clinic,

but in this patient’s case, because there was additional treatment,

it seems they visited about 9 times until the implant crown was placed.

Thanks to that, we were able to check the progress thoroughly,

and we also fabricated and restored the crown well.

2025. Completion of the implant case in your 20s

There was also a broken tooth on the left side (right side in the photo),

so we recommended treating it together,

but it was temporarily put on hold due to the patient’s schedule.

Instead, we provided additional consultation

and decided to proceed when the patient is ready later.

Still, all of the other treatments

were successfully completed.

In particular, the front teeth improved a lot aesthetically,

and the patient was pleased with the result.

Successful results of the implant case in your 20s

Cases where the crown of a tooth breaks and only the root remains can be seen often, regardless of age.

In this patient’s case, they visited the dental clinic promptly without leaving it untreated for long,

so there was no inflammation or other problems.

If inflammation had developed, pain could have occurred,

and treatment for the inflammation would also have been needed,

which would have taken more time.
