There are so many good places to eat at House of Shinsegae near Express Bus Terminal Station. Before House of Shinsegae opened, the places in Shinsegae Department Store that seemed good for brunch were probably just Jautable, Vechia & Nuovo, and Horizon.. But since House of Shinsegae opened, I feel like I make a lot more meal plans in this area. All of the restaurants in House of Shinsegae (hereinafter Houshin) are good, though!!
If I had to pick places with relatively short waits, there are Juchang Hansang for Korean food, and Unagi Yondaime Kikukawa, which was a pick for me because I like hitsumabushi. I also like Tachibana, a ramen spot that has a long wait but good turnover.
Among them, I especially wanted to try Kim Soo Sa’s weekday lunch, which is known for being good value. For lunch, you have to wait for reservations to open on Catch Table at 11:00 a.m. and click as fast as you can.. But I had failed every time so far and had never managed to get a lunch reservation at Kim Soo Sa.
For on-site waiting, you can register starting at 10:30 a.m., but I never had a reason to go to Houshin that early. These days, since I’ve been going out in the morning more often, I finally succeeded in getting Kim Soo Sa’s lunch. I arrived at 10:50 a.m. on a weekday and joined the on-site waitlist. There were already 8 teams ahead of me for the dining room and 10 teams for tables. While I spent time walking around nearby, I got a notification around 11:30 a.m. telling me to come in. I arrived at the store around 11:40 a.m. and started eating.

While I was eating, I forgot to take photos of one maki piece and one sushi piece, so I missed a total of two items.
In a time like this, with prices so high, being able to have such a delicious, filling, and satisfying lunch for 50,000 won per person...
The value for money was truly the best!!
Everything was delicious except for the dessert yokan!!!
+Before the course started, they asked if there was anything I couldn’t eat, so I said I don’t eat steamed egg (chawanmushi).. and they gave me one piece of sushi as a complimentary item.
If I can keep making a good on-site waitlist reservation at the right time, I’ll definitely go and eat there again.
