My connection with Cinderella began
in March 2004, when Season 2 started.
At the time, it was the first reality program about plastic surgery in Korea, so it began amid many concerns, with considerable criticism and a sense that it went against public sentiment.
To erase the negative perception of Season 1, starting from Season 2, we tried to show a side as close to reconstructive surgery as possible.
However, after that,
I also reflect that, due to various factors including time constraints, it inevitably became heavily focused on cosmetic procedures.
Still, I feel rewarded in that, in terms of how we approached the participants, we devoted more care than in operating on anyone else.
Already,
two and a half years have passed,
and since I started from Season 2, took only one season off in the middle, and continued through Season 13,
it seems it is now time to bring it to a close.
Today, in the clinic,
I saw the bright smile of a participant who is now exactly two years past surgery,
and a healthy life as well,
and I think that alone is something abundant and truly worth being grateful for.
