There are three major ways to treat the front teeth in a natural-looking way:
Crown / Laminate / Resin
Among them, crowns require the greatest amount of tooth reduction,
but I think their advantage is that you can receive a quality treatment of 75 points or more
at any dental clinic.
Of course, the better the treatment, the more expensive it is, and the procedure is a bit more complicated.
Laminate requires dramatically less tooth reduction than crowns,
but there is a lot of wordplay, with tooth reduction being described as “trimming” and others calling it “no-prep”...
It feels similar to the used-car market’s “no accident” vs. “absolutely no accident.”
In most cases, a small amount of tooth reduction is necessary,
and if you get it done at a good dental clinic, you can receive a very high-quality treatment,
but as good as the treatment is, the cost is high and the treatment period is long, at 2 to 4 weeks.
(I think one-day laminate is too unnatural.)
Resin is the treatment that removes the least amount of tooth structure.
Compared to the two methods above, the quality difference between clinics is quite large.
If you receive resin treatment at a clinic that does it well, it may cost a bit more,
but you can get a truly natural treatment that is hard to notice.
It also has the advantage of being completed on the same day as diagnosis.
Depending on the clinic, same-day treatment may not be possible,
but even then, it will be finished within a week at the latest.
Crowns and laminate
become more complicated the better the clinic is.
The treatment period is often long as well.
Laminate fabrication can even take more than 4 weeks.
On the other hand, resin treatment
does not become more complicated just because the clinic is good.
In most cases, we finish in about 1 hour of actual treatment time.
However, there are clearly cases where treatment cannot be done with resin.
There are also cases where it must be treated with a crown.
Because each option has its own pros and cons,
patients should look into it carefully and choose a dental clinic,
and I hope you will also refer to the treatment results of previous patients
and look at the quality of those photos as well.
When photos are taken with a basic consumer camera,
poor treatment often ends up looking as if it were done well.

This patient came from the United States,
and came because they were unhappy with the resin they had previously received.
You can tell at a glance that it looks somewhat messy, right?
But if you take a picture of this state
with a consumer camera, it may not seem like a big problem.
All the visible flaws get blurred together.
On the other hand, if you take a photo with a high-quality professional camera like this,
even flaws that are not visible to the eye will all be revealed.
That is why dentists who are truly serious about treatment usually
buy a good camera even if it costs a lot.
That is how they can continue improving their skills,
and so they can provide treatment they can be honest about
before they are honest with the patient.

This is a photo taken right after I treated the patient again.
Compared with the previous teeth,
the color is much better,
the position of the teeth has improved,
and above all, it does not look like resin treatment.
The patient said they had Googled hard from the United States
and came because I seemed like a resin specialist,
and after looking in the mirror after treatment,
they said they were glad they had picked the clinic so well.
Even when coming from the United States, the treatment is finished that same day,
so how convenient and nice is that?
I also think the treatment turned out well.
I think this is a good case in which the various characteristics of natural teeth-
color gradient, shape, contours, and so on-
are naturally and nicely expressed.

Resin buildup treatment for peg-shaped teeth
is something we do a lot and do well here.
Because peg-shaped teeth cannot be solved with orthodontics,
most people are recommended to get crown or laminate treatment...
But resin buildup (resin veneer) treatment,
which bonds directly on top without touching the tooth at all,
is also possible.

What once looked somewhat pointy and sharp
was changed into a natural smile line,
helping the patient gain confidence and smile brightly.

We can make a wide range of conditions
look natural with resin as well.
Especially when patients come from outside the city,
resin treatment is completed the same day,
so compared with other treatments, the treatment period is shorter
and it has the advantage of being very convenient.
Because we place importance on preserving natural teeth,
we do a lot of resin treatment,
but that does not mean we do not perform crowns or laminate treatment.

There are also cases where the left front tooth crown was redone with a crown,
and the right front tooth resin was redone with resin,
so that everything looked natural.

We also frequently redo crown treatments.
After all, crowns should be redone with crowns.
However, when problems arise after resin treatment and re-treatment is needed,
I think it is best to avoid saying that it must be done with a crown and proceeding that way without question.
I think resin should be redone with resin.
Treatment methods can vary from clinic to clinic,
so I think many of the people who agree with our view come to us
and receive treatment here.
We will always do our best. Thank you.
