“I’m almost done with orthodontic treatment,

but the edge of my front tooth chipped,

are very much preferred.

The patient also said her teeth looked short

and that she wished they were bigger.

And a black triangle, commonly seen after orthodontic treatment,

had formed between #12^13 (a gap created as the gums recede).

When using clear aligners,

We decided to address that with resin as well.

The lower front teeth showed severe attrition overall, but since the patient wanted to address the upper front teeth first, we decided to observe for now.

2. Less Intervention, More Harmony Gangnam Station Dentist

Since once a tooth is shaved, it cannot be restored,

we have to be very careful.

Also, because the teeth need to be used for a long time ahead,

I explained this to the patient as well.

“I will restore them carefully,

without almost any tooth reduction.

But I’ll refine the translucency, length, alignment,

and gloss a bit more delicatelyㅎㅎ.”

So we proceeded like this.

✅ Minimal tooth reduction, with fine resin layering to match the existing tooth shape
✅ Resin restoration on only the four front teeth to naturally adjust the midline, length, translucency, and rotated appearance
✅ A bright shade was used, but designed to retain translucency (reflecting the “white smile” aesthetic typical of U.S. orthodontic culture, without overdoing it)

Hearing that,

the resin that had been hardening poorly in my mouth that day,

and the subtle handwork of fine-tuning the angle of the tooth edge,

felt completely rewarded.

Looking at the patient’s smile and the way she spoke,

I could confidently say the answer was “yes”ㅎㅎ
