This patient came to our clinic because his front teeth were severely worn down. Thankfully, he visited Seoul after being referred by the head of the dental department at a general hospital in Suwonㅎㅎ

The lower front teeth had worn down so much at the top edge (incisal edge) that their length was noticeably shorter, and gaps had appeared between them as they wore away.

In addition, the outer layer of the teeth (enamel) had worn away completely, exposing the dentin close to the nerve.

If dentin is exposed like this, sensitivity can occur, and if it continues for a long time, the nerve may even become necrotic, so treatment was urgently needed.

Also, because the lower teeth were so worn down, the patient had a deep-bite type of overbite called a "Deep bite."

This was evidence that the upper and lower teeth had been grinding against each other over a long period of time.

On both sides in the premolar area, there were also worn areas that were concave near the gums, and he said they felt "sharp and sore" when exposed to cold water or brushing.
