Granit Xhaka, the midfielder for Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga, has recently undergone a hair transplant.
He was one of the key figures behind Leverkusen’s charge in the 2023–2024 season, when they led the team and helped secure the Bundesliga’s first unbeaten title.

Looking at the images released by the British media outlet The Sun, you can see that he shaved his head before undergoing the hair transplant.
The shaved appearance above seems to be a design photo taken before the procedure.
You can see the doctor drawing on the scalp with a pen.
The current hairline has been drawn in.
The M-shaped recession is quite deep.
The reason for shaving his head was probably preparation for a non-incisional hair transplant.
It can also be done without shaving, but in principle, non-incisional hair transplant involves creating a shaved area for extraction.

The photo above shows the M-shaped area filled in after the transplant.
It looks like the photo was taken right after the surgery.
The donor areas on the sides and back of the head are covered with gauze, and a headband has been worn to prevent swelling from flowing down toward the eyes.
It appears that quite a large amount was transplanted.
In addition to the M-shaped area, the center front area is also shiny, which shows the transplanted hairs.

Looking at Granit Xhaka’s past photos, compared with the one on the left from his Arsenal days,
the more recent Leverkusen photo on the right clearly shows the M-shaped recession moving farther back.
Filling in a progressing M-shaped hairline is one of the best indications for hair transplant.

A post like this was uploaded on Instagram by the clinic that operated on Xhaka, and I was a bit startled when the name ‘NEW HAIR’ appeared. ^^
Xhaka had his surgery at a clinic in Kosovo, not at our New Hair.

It is now time for hairhair, Kim Jin-wo.
May new hair be born.
