Hello, I’m Dr. Taeo Park of Relieve Clinic, where I pursue painless treatment.

Today, I’d like to talk about Rejuran, which many people are already familiar with.

Anyone who has received Rejuran at Relieve. Warning for trypophobia..
Before Rejuran became popular, there was a time when so-called salmon injections were very popular.
Before talking about pain, let me briefly talk about the story and history of Rejuran.
Rejuran? Salmon injection?

Strictly speaking, Rejuran contains PN (polynucleotide) ingredients, while salmon injection contains PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) ingredients.
That sounds pretty complicated, right? These days, many patients seem to come in already knowing that Rejuran contains PN, so I wanted to mention it.
Putting the difficult terms aside..
Both are ingredients derived from fragments of salmon sperm DNA. To put the difference simply, you can think of salmon injection as a small fragment and Rejuran as a larger fragment. The difference in size leads to differences in effect.
After Rejuran came out, the name salmon injection has become hard to find. Since a much better upgraded version appeared, there was no particular need to seek out the previous version. That is why PDRN, the ingredient in salmon injection, is often used in cosmetics.
It is used in creams, ampoules, and topical products. The company that makes Rejuran is also working hard to produce related cosmetics. It seems like a smart company that knows how to row when the water is in.
Rejuran’s PN ingredient is large, so it is difficult to pass through the skin barrier, which means it must be administered by injection. On the other hand, PDRN, the smaller fragment used in salmon injection, is somewhat easier to absorb. When injected, both are placed into the dermal layer.

Rejuran, which is injected directly into the skin like this, has various effects, including promoting collagen production and improving the skin’s natural recovery ability. As an added effect, it can also provide a dewy glow and hydration.
In fact, most patients who get Rejuran do so for the dewy glow and hydration. That’s why I like to mix it with ingredients from a skin-booster injection to maximize this effect. In my experience, doing so increases patient satisfaction by about 50% compared with Rejuran alone. (This is entirely a subjective figure.)
How can you reduce Rejuran pain?

That’s me..
Because I’m so serious about pain control, I’ve done very deep study and research related to pain. So if I were to talk about pain, I could probably write an entire book.
First of all, there are many different ways to reduce pain. Here are a few of them:
-
I use a very strong numbing cream. However, I use my own formula to minimize side effects.
-
The amount of time the numbing cream is applied is also important. 15 to 20 minutes is too short. It needs to be applied for at least 30 minutes for sufficient numbing.
-
I use a thinner needle. The thinner the needle, the lower the chance of stimulating the skin’s pain receptors. If you imagine a thick awl being driven deep into the body versus a thin needle being inserted, you can tell which would hurt more without having to try it.
-
I mix Rejuran with a skin-booster injection to dilute the texture.
-(There are many other methods as well, but those are part of my own know-how....)
If you apply these various pain-control methods, sleep anesthesia is not necessary for Rejuran procedures. The Naver reviews written by patients at our clinic say it all..
As someone who always tries to break the prejudice that beauty must hurt, it really pains me to see people receiving Rejuran while crying.
Anyway, thank you as always.
