This is Dr. Baek Won-seon, the chief dentist at the Sinsa Station dental clinic.

We have been receiving quite a lot of inquiries about the laminate line at our Rev Dental Clinic, called Levnate.

Levnate is cheapest today. We will be a dental clinic that creates laminate restorations like jewels in the dental field.

In the last post, I introduced Levnate Expert. You can think of it as a line that enhances the natural look while also giving the teeth a noticeable tone-up.

Our Rev Dental Clinic laminate line, Levnate, is divided into three stages.

• Levnate Basic -> Levnate Expert -> Levnate Master

The most noticeable features are coloring and the amount of tooth reduction. Basic is mainly recommended for those who want a mono-tone color, and if you want to further enhance the natural look, MiYO coloring is added and the Expert stage is needed. (As the stage goes up, the amount of tooth reduction decreases, and accordingly the coloring process becomes longer.)

Levnate Master grade is the commonly advertised no-prep (minimal-prep) laminate, and the production process itself is completely different. There are only a few dental clinics that can make it... It is the ultimate high-end laminate. (I’ll introduce it in the next post!)

Have you heard of a company called HASS?

In general, most dental clinics work with CAD to mill hard ceramic blocks and produce laminate restorations.

Our Levnate Basic is made using ceramic blocks produced by HASS. Although it is a Korean company, it proudly ranks second in the world for ceramic blocks. The colors are beautiful and the strength is excellent, so many dental clinics use these blocks. (For reference, the world’s No. 1 is a German company called VITA, which is used when needed for Levnate Expert. It is often used at MiXshi Dental Clinic.)

It is recommended for those who like the familiar style of white, neat, and slightly noticeable teeth.

Think of it as celebrity teeth, and it’s easy to understand~

This was a patient who came in wanting bright, white, and neatly aligned teeth. In fact, the alignment was already fairly neat.

Our Sinsa Station dental clinic, Rev Dental Clinic, is also a mecca for teeth whitening..!? Ten or twenty patients come in every day and leave satisfied after whitening~ This patient had already tried whitening several times and came in because they now wanted permanently white and neatly aligned teeth.

Honestly, when looking only at the teeth, the shape was already quite good, so I recommended not doing anything further.. But wanting white, neat teeth is everyone’s wish, and if whitening no longer works.. Levnate can be the solution.

Come to think of it, the tooth reduction for making Levnate is less than 0.5 mm, so compared with trimming teeth due to cavities, it is a tiny amount by comparison. It is so minimal that after trimming the teeth, they don’t even feel sensitive~.. (I’ll show you how much the teeth were shaved!)

In terms of dental health, I know very well that there was no further improvement needed,

but based on the patient’s own needs, we decided to proceed with Levnate Basic to improve the color and shape of the teeth.

Levnate Basic is the most efficient treatment for creating bright, neat, mono-tone teeth.

If you think of the celebrity teeth people usually imagine, that’s exactly it! Please look at it as the dental clinic that does laminate best in Sinsa Station, hehe..

The lower teeth also have a slightly crooked feel, but I think they are generally in a neat state. Still, if you’re going to have cosmetic work, wouldn’t it be better if it showed a little? Haha Recommended for those who want the color improved so people can say, “Oh, you got laminate!?”

Before starting treatment, the first thing we do at Rev Dental Clinic is, of course, a consultation with the treating dentist. We first talk through which teeth will be adjusted and how much will be trimmed.

Next is a consultation with the dental technician (the dedicated ceramist). Think of it as talking with the person who will make my laminate, something most dental clinics cannot do. We have highly artistic ceramists working at Rev Dental Clinic in Sinsa Station~

With the dedicated ceramist, we carefully discuss what tooth color and what shape to make. This is the difference from a general dental clinic. You know how laminate work is often sent out to a lab? They just come back like go stones.

This was a patient from another clinic whose laminate had broken and came in... They make these dull-colored go-stone-like laminate pieces.... So if you are planning laminate treatment, you should look for a clinic that makes them in-house.

Absolutely, absolutely. And there are really many clinics on Gangnam-daero that make them like that.... Really many. Even among famous clinics, there are some. The one that makes a lot of YouTube videos..

What are Koreans not very good at? Smiling naturally~~~ Don’t get too nervous in front of the camera and try smiling naturally!!!

The photo you see now is after the six front teeth of the upper jaw were adjusted. Our Rev Dental Clinic, which is capable of precision processing, does not need to shave much tooth structure to place Levnate!! If you look at it, you might even think, “It looks neater than before?”~~~

After adjusting the teeth, we record the tooth color and the desired color once again.

If you have looked into laminate treatment a lot, you may have noticed that almost all the photos are of upper teeth treatment~~ Upper teeth are easier... We honestly also show the photos of the lower teeth being trimmed!!!

Levnate Basic

It can be completed in one day. Treatment optimized for busy office workers and foreigners..

As you can see, Levnate Basic is a laminate that creates a bright, clean shape in a mono-tone style.

Since the color is mono-tone, the time needed for coloring is shorter, which makes production faster! And the advantage of mono-tone is that it gives a strong feeling of flawlessness. At the same time, the key is to give it a slight gloss and sparkling texture.

If you make a reservation in advance, same-day treatment is possible. We can shave them in the morning and place them the next morning. And because we have our own lab, even if any revision is needed, completion on the same day is possible!

You might think, “Aren’t they too white?” But this was exactly the color the patient consistently requested throughout the long consultation.

That’s why I wrote “celebrity teeth” at the beginning of the post. Haha Come to think of it, just as some people hope for cosmetic work that is more noticeable rather than less noticeable, many people also think that after laminate treatment, it should definitely look brighter!!

I want it made a little whiter. My personal color tone is a bit cool.

In response to the patient’s request for a slightly more icy white tone, we took a bit more time and made it whiter with a cooler tone. In the photo, the difference may seem subtle and not very noticeable, but those with a good eye will feel that it is different.

Only when you can handle that kind of detail can you truly become a high-class laminate dental clinic.

So the upper laminate was placed like this,

and the lower laminate was also beautifully placed on all 6 teeth like this.

The patient was very satisfied with how much brighter their teeth became! However, since only the upper 6 and lower 6 were done, the back teeth that did not receive Levnate looked a little darker whenever they were visible, which was a slight disappointment.. Still, it is clearly obvious that the teeth became brighter!!

Of course, the left side is before Levnate Basic treatment, and the right side is after treatment.

As you can see, the color changed to a much brighter, cooler tone. Doing 16 teeth instead of just 12 would have made it a bit more perfect, but even with just 12 teeth the patient was truly, truly satisfied.

As you can see from the treatment process photos, the amount of tooth reduction was really small. You can think of this as the level of tooth trimming that an external clinic would usually call minimal-prep laminate.

Technology has improved a lot more than expected, so this is no longer the laminate of the past. (Still, the reason this is possible is thanks to our lab team, who always work hard and put great care into making Levnate.)

As evidence of how we feel about this, our orthodontic chief dentist, laminate chief dentist, lead ceramist, and counseling managers are all scheduled to get laminate treatment!!! You can see that both the color and shape of the upper and lower front teeth have improved. And the important thing is that the Levnate thickness is thin enough that the teeth do not look like they have become more protruded. When you look at laminate done poorly at a clinic that is not good at it.. they say they shave less tooth, which is fine in principle, but then the teeth end up looking too forward....... To avoid that kind of appearance, treatment like this requires skill and an understanding of color.

Looking at it again, the fact that the patient now seems able to smile more broadly makes the treatment worthwhile ^^

The standard of beauty is much more diverse than you might think. As dentists, we actually have a stubborn preference for “natural tooth color” and “tooth shape that is natural itself.” When I was a student, I was taught that natural teeth are the best, and shaving teeth felt like becoming a criminal.

Of course, you should not unnecessarily shave your own teeth.. Molars are not okay either, but how could anyone dare do that to front teeth?

Even I, who had that mindset, one day saw my parents’ front teeth, which had become mottled after so many resin treatments, and strongly felt that I wanted to replace their front teeth cleanly. Does it make sense for the front teeth of a dentist’s parent to be yellowish? ㅠㅠ So I really covered all six front teeth cleanly. Honestly, I treated them according to my own judgment.. but to be honest, everyone was happy with the improvement in appearance.

The standard of beauty varies. The desire for teeth that are a little whiter and neater feels like a common wish for everyone. If it were possible to do a truly no-prep laminate without shaving a single tooth, I would want to do that, but still the surface needs to be smoothed and adjusted before placement so that the laminate thickness is consistent and does not chip easily over time.

If you trim just that much.. only up to 0.5 mm or less.. then after that, we at Rev Dental Clinic in Sinsa Station can help make it beautiful. Technology has truly improved so much, and in a world like this, living with yellowish teeth.. or crooked teeth.. can feel unfair, can’t it? If you think about it, it may even be a more conservative and beautiful procedure than eye surgery or nose surgery.
