The patient I’m introducing today was someone who had already received composite resin treatment several times because of cavities on the front teeth.

As you know, resin is a “porous” material, so even if it looks smooth, under a microscope there are many tiny holes on the surface, which makes it vulnerable to discoloration.

Freshly filled resin always looks very nice in color. You see it a lot on Instagram and YouTube, right?

It looks pretty on that day, but discoloration develops over time, and the border turning brown is the fate of resin...........

The patient came to our clinic as a YouTuber, and you can see that the front teeth had been treated with layer upon layer of resin.

Preserving teeth is important, of course... but resin was added on top of resin treatments again and again... At this point, half of the tooth had become resin, and the patient was worn out from teeth that kept discoloring.

I want front teeth that are brighter, whiter, and more beautiful in shape.

I don’t want an artificial brightness.

They wanted the tooth color to become brighter.

And they also wanted the shape created with resin to be improved in a more ideal way.

Unlike the patient’s neat appearance, the teeth did not look neat at all.

So it was an unfortunate situation where they could not even smile freely...

We recommended Levinate Expert at Leb Dental near Sinsa Station.

In the case of Levinate Basic, it can be made in a white tone, but a monochrome color can create a somewhat artificial look.

Because the patient wanted a natural bright color, we decided to proceed with Levinate Expert, a lineup in which ceramic is additionally layered over the monochrome laminate and MiYO coloring is applied.

For reference, if the original teeth are well aligned, have no resin fillings, and are in good condition, Levinate Basic can achieve the desired result in most cases. But if the original teeth are not a pleasing color and have significant damage, Levinate Expert is the choice for a naturally beautiful result.

The tooth color before treatment must be recorded.

Using a VITA shade guide, we document the color before shaving the teeth.

This is a photo taken after some of the teeth were shaped.

You may think the teeth look somewhat smaller, and that is because the previously treated unnecessary resin was removed.

Old resin must all be cleaned away, because when bonding Levinate Expert, which is made of ceramic, leftover resin interferes with perfect adhesion.

We record the patient’s usual lip shape and smile line.

We also record various information, such as the left-right symmetry and how much of the teeth are visible when smiling.

And after receiving Levinate treatment, you’ll see patients smiling much more broadly!!!

It took 3 days to complete Levinate Expert.

In the case of Levinate Expert, to create natural beauty, we sometimes place a ceramic material that expresses color in a three-dimensional way on the visible laminate surface, and sometimes apply coloring with paint.

So same-day treatment is a bit difficult, and if you make an appointment for treatment, you should allow about 3 days. (Still fast!!!!)

This is truly a level of detail that most dental clinics simply cannot achieve.

Dental clinics that manufacture all laminates in-house are really, really rare... That’s how much handwork goes into these laminates. Each one is a work of art by the dedicated ceramist.

Does it seem like the same person? It’s such a different look......?

In fact, it wasn’t even many teeth—only the six upper front teeth were changed to Levinate Expert... and yet the person’s impression changed this much.

To prove it was the same person, I included a photo showing the molars that did not receive Levinate treatment.

And there is a special optical illusion involved. If you look from the side, you can see that the canines look quite wide. Even the left-right sizes are a little different.

But from the front, they look completely symmetrical! By making them with the front-facing angle in mind, we create the best possible result within the patient’s existing condition.
