I’m Baek Won-seon, the chief director of Reve Dental Clinic at Sinsa Station.

It has already been almost three months since Reve Dental Clinic opened, dreaming of becoming the best laminate dental clinic in Korea.

While meeting a variety of people who want to have beautiful front teeth and providing consultations for many different cases,

I’d like to introduce a case that combines the familiar term “personal color” with “front tooth crowns and laminates.”

The laminate broke.

Since I’m having it redone anyway, I’d like to make it in a cool tone.

This is a patient who had front tooth crown treatment a long time ago.

The six upper front teeth had been treated with all-ceramic crowns.

Among them, the left upper canine crown had broken and disappeared, and the left upper front tooth crown had a discolored margin and a chipped edge.

At first, the patient was thinking about replacing only one crown, but after the consultation, they said they would think about how many to do.

If you rotate the image left and right, both the left and right sides are bright white teeth,

but they do feel a little different, don’t they? One side is a bit darker, and the other is brighter.

And overall, the color has a warm feel to it. So I thought of these as warm-tone crowns.

You may be able to see it more clearly like this!

Since the crowns were being redone anyway, we decided to make them as cool-tone zirconia crowns for a more urban feel.

All-ceramic crowns are originally suitable for matching the color of natural teeth. The prosthetic itself is translucent and looks like real teeth, right?

In other words, if you want your front teeth treated in a cool tone, all-ceramic crowns may not be the right choice.

That’s because the treatment is meant to change the warm tone of your original teeth. So we decided on zirconia crowns!!

Before removing the existing all-ceramic crowns, we measure the tooth color.

At our Reve Dental Clinic at Sinsa Station, we assign a dedicated ceramist for patients seeking front tooth treatments to improve their smile.

This case was crafted by ceramist Oh Dong-gi!

The dentist designs how the front teeth should be made by considering the patient’s skin tone, gum shape, smile line, and more,

but the person who actually makes the Reve-nate or crown to be placed is the ceramist.

Having the person who makes the prosthetics stay at the clinic in person, discuss things directly with the patient, and work through the process of finding what they want together.

That is a benefit you can truly experience only at Reve Dental Clinic at Sinsa Station.

You must take a photo of the smile line.

From the dentist’s perspective, this patient had a beautiful smile line!

You may wonder, “Did they really take this many photos at the clinic?”~

But this is an essential process for making prosthetics that harmonize with the facial midline, horizontal line, and lips!!

So although we do not make it public, the dedicated ceramist also refers to the patient’s facial photos when making it.

This is where personal color is reflected directly, too—the warm tone and cool tone are applied according to the image the patient has!

Only by putting in this much effort can a luxury, high-end laminate truly be completed. Haha.

If you want a laminate made just for you, you should avoid factory-style laminate clinics..

Laminate... you’re not planning to use it for just 1–2 years, right~..

If you bring a photo of the laminate or crown you want,

it will be very helpful during fabrication!!

Since it was a photo from another clinic, I covered the name!

I think the patient brought it because they thought it was a case that turned out beautifully.

Because each person has very different preferences, bringing a case you think is beautiful or a photo of a smiling celebrity is a big help for the dedicated ceramist when making the front tooth prosthetics :)

(Actually, since the photo is a bit old, there is a big quality difference compared with the Reve-nate we make now..)

We removed the patient’s original warm-tone crowns and made the crowns we first created for them!

They looked neat and much more like real teeth, but there was a slightly subdued tone.

Front tooth crowns may not satisfy the patient, dentist, and ceramist all at once.

Molars are made mainly for function, so most can be made in one try,

but front teeth must meet the standard of being “beautiful,” so if even one of the three—1. patient, 2. dentist, 3. ceramist—is not satisfied, we can remake them.

In this case, 1. the patient, 2. the dentist, and 3. the ceramist were all satisfied....

But after living with them for about three days, the patient wanted a revision because they were “too natural.”

Reve Dental Clinic. For the patient’s satisfaction, we have to give it one more push.

So this is the revised front tooth PFZ (zirconia + porcelain) crown.

It has a bit of light reflection, so shall we look at a more enlarged photo?

To me, it felt like a very urban and chic color. Hahaha.

There really aren’t many clinics that can make front teeth with this kind of subtle feel.

Usually... the status of laminate work at other clinics is...

In most cases, they make front teeth that are not aesthetically pleasing like this.

Why? Because if the clinic does not make it in-house, it cannot reflect the subtle color of the teeth.

No matter how well you photograph it with a digital camera and send it over... it’s because the dental lab did not see it directly with their own eyes.

The same logic applies to checking color over a video call.

In the end, it ends up white, yes, but opaque... and usually just like a go stone, and that is all the laminate you get.

The front teeth made at Reve Dental Clinic at Sinsa Station are, I dare say, upgraded in quality!!

That’s because the reason our clinic exists is to create natural shapes and bright shades while matching the cool-tone personal color preferred by the patient :)

You can tell how natural they are by talking about them to people around you. They are on a completely different level from go stone laminates.

You can tell how bright they are by comparing them with the molars further back. The difference in color is clear, right?

Finally, to bring in the feel of a “cool tone,” additional porcelains in various colors and special coloring are added.

Like a work of art.

Looking at the changed lower-face photo, you can see what kind of feel the patient was aiming for.

A cooler-toned color, and a slightly more straight-lined shape than the front teeth they originally had.

And even the tooth-edge shape with perfect left-right symmetry.

The front teeth were made in line with the direction the patient wanted, and the result is said to have left them very satisfied!

Front teeth are very precious to everyone. (Of course, that goes without saying?)

So before deciding to get laminate treatment, people usually visit several clinics.

There are many well-known cosmetic dental clinics, and many clinics with strong branding.
