Is it possible to do no-prep laminate veneers on the lower front teeth? Reveneat Basic price/cost/review/recommendation.

You’ve probably heard a lot about no-prep veneers and minimal-prep veneers.

When you come to Gangnam for laminate veneer treatment, these are words you’re sure to hear.

But did you know this? If you look at laminate treatment photos, almost all of them show upper front teeth veneer cases.

Have you ever wondered why that is?

In my previous posts, I introduced Reveneat cases that we’ve been working hard on at our Sinsa Station Rev Dental Clinic.

Reveneat is divided into three stages: Basic -> Expert -> Master,

and these stages are classified according to how the veneer is made.

Reveneat Basic ; Lower front teeth are mostly treated with Reveneat Basic.

This is a patient who visited our Rev Dental Clinic.

In fact, the lower front teeth are barely visible.

When the upper front teeth cover the lower front teeth like this, it is called an overbite.

The reason they decided to get Reveneat treatment was the color of the lower front teeth.

You can clearly see the difference in color between the upper and lower teeth, right? The upper teeth have already had veneer treatment, while the lower teeth are natural teeth.

Some people may think, “If they can’t really be seen, do they really need treatment?” But... When you speak or smile, it is natural for the lower front teeth to look yellowish.

On top of that, tooth fractures and wear make your teeth look even less attractive.

In addition, the teeth are crowded, so the alignment is not very attractive. Also, the incisal edges—the part used for biting—were worn down irregularly.

Before Reveneat treatment, we first measure the tooth color.

Because the patient wanted a color similar to the upper front teeth, we record the tooth shade in advance before treatment.

That is why, when making veneers, you need to discuss the length, proportions, color, and other details with the person fabricating them in order to get a satisfying result!! So during consultations with the dedicated ceramist, we sometimes refer to celebrities’ teeth as examples :)

In fact, when the patient is in a neutral posture, they are not easily visible when smiling. However, they were very concerned about how noticeable they were when speaking or smiling.

If you look at it like this, you can clearly feel the difference between the upper and lower teeth. Veneer treatment is a treatment whose effect is better than you might expect once it is done. The lower face, which takes up one-third of the face, and the teeth that occupy most of that area—making them look beautiful is an important way to further upgrade your appearance!

We performed gum contouring and shaped the teeth.

This is what the teeth looked like after reduction to create the lower front Reveneat Basic.

Many clinics advertise that most teeth can be treated with no-prep veneers. Our Sinsa Station clinic is no different.

At the same time, many dentists say that no-prep veneers are wildly exaggerated advertising.

In fact, both statements are half right and half wrong.

There are cases where not a single bit of tooth has to be shaved, but there are also clearly situations where the teeth must be reduced from the start.

In this patient’s case, the upper and lower front teeth were biting together very tightly and deeply.

In situations like this, where the teeth inevitably receive a lot of force, tooth reduction is essential for lower front veneer treatment. At our Gangnam laminate Rev Dental Clinic, we use HASS blocks to minimize tooth reduction. They are among the strongest blocks used for veneers. However, because they have the drawback of a somewhat uniform color, we overcome that with special coloring.

I’m not sure what you may think about this amount of tooth reduction,

but this is a case of minimal tooth reduction of about 0.5 mm.

0.5 mm... is about the thickness of 5 to 10 sheets of A4 paper. A technique that really only trims a tiny amount!!! We confidently show how much tooth reduction is done. A laminate made by discussing tooth design on the spot with the dedicated ceramist (dental technician) while consulting with the patient... After that, we bonded the Reveneat Basic that had been made. The teeth may look a little short? But this is the tooth shape chosen after considering the shape of the upper teeth and the patient’s overall appearance. If we had made them longer, they would not have matched the atmosphere of the other teeth.

So this was the finished result!!! The patient was extremely satisfied, and beyond that, it was a very rewarding case because we were able to create teeth that were not sensitive and had a neat, reinforced shape.

We added a more natural look by performing a slight amount of gum contouring to show a bit more of the lower teeth. And by harmonizing the color of the upper and lower teeth, we helped create a clean image.

For the lower front teeth, we treated them with minimal reduction so they would not feel sensitive, without adding root canal treatment. By making the length neat and improving the color, they really looked about 20 years younger. The patient was happy that they no longer needed teeth whitening just because of the color of the lower front teeth.

When I asked them to smile, they smiled a bit awkwardly, but you can see that they started smiling more broadly with confidence in their lower front teeth treatment.

A feature after Reveneat treatment is that you can smile more naturally now!! It is a treatment that helps patients rediscover their smile. We always treat with pride.

Laminate veneer treatment is often compared to cosmetic surgery in plastic surgery. As the color of the teeth becomes brighter and the shape becomes more even, the person’s impression becomes much more refreshed.

However, in my personal opinion, it also has the meaning of protecting and reinforcing the teeth. By shaping teeth that are breaking down and covering the surface with ceramic that can be hygienically maintained, we create an environment where they are easier to care for and prevent additional tooth fractures.

Have you ever wondered why there are so few photos circulating of lower front tooth veneers? ; The answer is that they do not want to show the process of shaving the teeth. Most lower front veneer cases can only be properly made with the teeth “shaved” so that the shape and color come out correctly. Please keep this in mind and receive treatment wisely.
