Hello.
This is Dr. Baek from Dream Dental Clinic, Rev Dental Clinic.
I previously wrote a post about Bulgari Bali, which was the hotel I liked the most and where I felt the happiest, right?
It was quite an enchanting experience. It was the first time I realized how happy it could be to spend time just the two of us in a pool villa.
Thanks to that, it became the reason we ended up booking Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton property, for the end of this year. ^^
Since there was more content than I expected, I split it into two posts.
The St. Regis Bali Resort
(The St. Regis Bali Resort)

During that Bali trip, we stayed 2 nights at Bulgari Bali and 2 nights at The St. Regis Bali Resort,
and this time, I thought I’d split my St. Regis Bali post, another luxury Marriott resort, into two parts.
It’s also a very popular honeymoon destination, and it’s famous for its excellent private beach and the large lagoon (outdoor pool) that runs through the resort.
Unlike Bulgari Bali, which is located in the south and overlooks the Indian Ocean, this resort is in Nusa Dua on the east coast.

As you probably know, St. Regis is one of the top six tiers in Marriott Bonvoy, and it’s a lineup known for its classic, old-world luxury.
At the entrance to the Bali resort in Indonesia, security guards armed with guns stand watch.
After your ID is checked, you enter this lobby.
Several restaurants are connected from the lobby, and there’s also a souvenir shop and a deli.

They gave us a welcome drink!
It was quite refreshing, and if you ask for more, they’ll keep bringing it.
One feature of The St. Regis Bali is that, if you want, they’ll keep bringing you coffee without limit as well~ haha
That cola... was brought over from Bulgari Bali..
Lobby tour

This is the jungle-like resort as seen from the lobby.
If you follow that palm-tree-lined path all the way out, you’ll reach the private beach!! It’s a huge charm point, so I’ll show it to you later~~
The friendly butler kindly guides you around the resort.
And whenever you ask, they’ll take you anywhere you want by cart. Same if you run into them while walking around~

What The St. Regis Bali Resort looks like when you go down is as shown above.

If you look to the left, there’s a deli. There’s also an outdoor restaurant and a souvenir shop.

If you look to the right, there are many places like this where you can relax outdoors.
This is truly hotel vacationing itself. It feels like they’re telling you to stay here and spend all your time without going out~

I actually never used the deli..
It seems they sell sweets and bakery items.
Since they keep bringing iced Americano or iced lattes to the room if you want, there wasn’t really any need to go to the bakery..

Across from the deli, there’s also a souvenir shop.
If you need them, you can actually buy basic items like sunscreen here, and you can also buy clothes and hats!
Still, I didn’t think of it as something I really wanted to get.. lol

The lobby is like an outdoor aquarium(?), and there are truly dozens of koi fish swimming inside.
If you give them a few pieces of bread, you can get a great photo like this. hahaha
1 King Bed, Garden View, St. Regis Suite
1-night pool villa upgrade with Marriott Bonvoy Platinum!

I had booked the most basic room for 2 nights.
One night was a basic 1 King Bed room, and the second night was upgraded to a pool villa.
The basic room layout is similar, while the pool villa differs in that it has an outdoor private pool on the first floor!
I’ll show both slowly.
The room is around 800,000 KRW per night. And the pool villa is around 1,000,000 KRW per night.
(The largest pool villa room, where Ronaldo stayed, costs around 10,000,000 KRW per night.)

Almost every room has a veranda and a garden view.
(Of course, since it’s surrounded by jungle...)
The exterior is quite antique. Just like Bulgari, that deep cherry-colored wood is used a lot in the interior.

As soon as you open the door and step inside, the minibar is the first thing to welcome you.
Next to it, there’s also an umbrella you can use.

Are you here in Bali for your honeymoon?
Let your wife have that straw hat!
Just like at Bulgari Bali, you can take the straw hat and the small bag home.
The best souvenir~

If you turn your head to the left, a really stylish room opens up.
The floor at the room entrance is made of beautiful tiles, while the interior has carpeting over wood flooring.
Just by looking at it, doesn’t it feel like a spacious room...?

The size of the room that unfolds is overwhelming.
And the room condition is so clean and nice!
The moment you walk in, you naturally say wow.
There’s a sofa, a table, and I don’t know how many chairs... and that large king bed.
You can see the balcony too, right?

The king bed is really huge. This must be why people say Bali, Bali.
This is truly the first place I’ve ever stayed that was so good for a hotel vacation...

If you stand on the bed and look, only then do you see the bathroom on the left (!?)
There’s a TV in front, and some welcome snacks.
The small space on the right is for luggage and the wardrobe.
It’s really about the size of a 1.5-room to 2-room place in Korea.
And this is the basic room? ^^

The luggage storage area already has luggage brought in.
The butlers are incredibly diligent~
Unlike Bulgari Bali, laundry service is available, though you do have to pay for it!

If you take a photo standing in front of the balcony, the feeling of how big this room is really comes through.
Even now, four months later, it still feels so good~

The bathroom is luxury itself.
Of course there are two sinks~~~
There are plenty of towels...
And there’s even a towel on the floor, so it’s the best!

However, the amenities weren’t really my style.
You know that Dove body wash?? The kind that doesn’t rinse off well.
I don’t think it was because the water was bad, but it didn’t rinse off well ㅠㅠ
And the body lotion was a bit stiff......

If you turn your head to the left, there’s a bathtub with a view of the garden outside.
The white-toned interior gives the feel of an old classic while still looking luxurious.
This is why... I guess people come to Bali.
Well... spending this much for one night in Bali, where room rates aren’t that high~

That lovely bathtub belongs to my wife.
A half-body bath here would feel so good!!!
Pick up something from Lush~

To the right of the sink are the shower room and the toilet room.
Since everything is separated into different spaces, it’s really convenient to use.

Personally, the shower room amenities weren’t my style either....
Still, I really have to 인정 the luxury. haha

Even the toilet is this clean, making you think, is this really Indonesia?
Can a hotel this nice exist in the middle of the jungle...?

After finishing the bathroom tour, I went back to the bedroom to check out the welcome food.
It was actually pretty tasty.
And that peanut-like (?) snack thing. I kept eating it. lol
If you want fruit, feel free to have as much as you like.

If you ask the butler, they’ll keep bringing chocolate cookies and coffee as much as you want.
This butler system is really... one of the things that makes it impossible to escape Indonesia’s charm...
And I took one photo of the St. Regis Bali room key because it had such a nice feel to it~
1-night pool villa upgrade with Marriott Bonvoy Platinum!

The pool villa is a bit more expensive. Around 1,000,000 KRW per night..
Maybe it was good luck or bad luck, but we were upgraded for one night!
So we got a place with a pool outside~

Everything else is the same, but instead of a balcony, there’s an extra space like the one you see here haha
In this already large room, there’s also this outdoor area....
Of course, these are only rooms on the first floor! The rooms next door also have private pools like pool villas, and if you go out through the fence by the pool area, you can explore the resort.

Bulgari Bali was really, really great... but this is also an incredible resort~~
It’s just as good. hahaha
Even now, thinking about it again feels enchanting.
Let’s go explore the resort! Please enjoy the view comfortably~

It’s just a picture-perfect resort.
A place so picturesque that words aren’t even needed.
The center of the resort is crossed by the lagoon, and it’s divided into areas using seawater and freshwater.
The inexpensive (?!) room I was staying in was in the large building with the main lobby,
while the truly nice and expensive rooms are hidden all over the jungle resort like a village. haha

Wherever you go, it looks like a painting.
It’s so nice for walking around... and there are no bugs, so it’s really pleasant to get around.
This stone path is constantly used by carts, so if you don’t feel like walking, you can just ask for a ride. hahaha

The rooms like this are the really top-tier ones.
The very best room has three rooms and is an ocean-view room where you can see the sea right away.
I heard Ronaldo stayed there.

Just looking at the photos is enough to feel enchanted. haha
I highly recommend it as a honeymoon destination.
And there are fewer Korean guests than you might expect~

It feels like you might get lost, but there are friendly signs so that won’t happen,
and butlers keep driving carts around, so there’s no need to worry too much.

Isn’t the resort just so beautiful :)
It’s the kind of place where you hate seeing the day end~!

At night, they turn on various lights for the performance,

and if you look from the main building, they put on a performance like this.
At night, they also light many gas-torch-style torches, so the resort isn’t just dark!
They put on a concert-like traditional performance from Indonesia, in their own style. haha
I tried my best to capture it!
The jungle resort is beautiful too,
but the highlight of The St. Regis Bali is the private beach.

If you follow the lagoon during the day, you can easily spot the private beach from a distance.
That lagoon... you can get into the water and swim anytime. hahaha It’s really a fun place.

Is this the place I had only seen in photos on the Marriott Bonvoy app...
Is that sea the Indian Ocean...

It really makes you go wow as soon as you see it.
You can claim any spot under the red parasols you see.
You can get the drinks you want, and food can also be ordered for a fee.

If you lie down and look out at the Indian Ocean... you really lose track of time.

Still such a peaceful and happy view when I look back at it.
Just like the South Pacific sea I saw on our Hawaii honeymoon, the Indian Ocean is simply vast as well.. haha

If you want, it seems you can do activities in the sea too, but we didn’t go that far.
I did swim a little, though. haha No coral in sight..

If you turn around, there’s a place where you can eat with an ocean view,
and this is the famous St. Regis Bali landmark: the Michelin 2-star restaurant.
I’ll show you in the next post!

The Indian Ocean beach was so relaxing that even lying there for five hours with sunscreen on and a towel over me never got boring.
It was truly such a happy place...
In the next Part 2, I’ll show you breakfast, a delicious meal at the Michelin restaurant, and dinner as well!!
Because I had fallen completely in love with Bulgari Bali Resort, I honestly thought St. Regis was ordinary...
But looking back at the photos, that was such a wrong thought. haha
The rooms are really, really spacious, and they’re surprisingly clean, luxurious, and nice.
The water quality is good too... and the drinks they bring you are high quality.
I didn’t include this in the photos here, but if I remember correctly, they gave us 30 minutes of free massage.
That was great too, and I remember that even the paid option was reasonably priced.
(Those of you who saw my post know, right? Bulgari Bali’s premium 2-person massage was 1.8 million KRW...)
And the jungle, lagoon, and private Indian Ocean beach at the resort
are overwhelming in a way that feels like it would make you happy anytime you go.
I recommend it once again as a honeymoon destination !!!!!!!!!
