Parnas Hotel Jeju — Review of Using The Parnas Smart Complimentary Night Voucher (vs. Club Chosun Gold)

Last time, I posted a review of using the “Deluxe Complimentary Night Voucher” from “Club Chosun Gold” at Grand Josun Jeju!

The voucher could be used for approximately KRW 380,000, and the room was reasonably spacious and seemed like a good choice for traveling with a child.

Today, as a follow-up, I’d like to share my experience using The Parnas Hotel Jeju’s “Smart Complimentary Night Voucher.”

The memberships are at similar levels: KRW 750,000 for Club Chosun Gold and KRW 550,000 for The Parnas Smart (now KRW 650,000).

The Parnas Membership

The Parnas Membership is a paid membership that can be used at three Parnas-affiliated hotels (the terms were revised not long ago, right?): Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, The Westin Seoul Parnas, and Parnas Hotel Jeju.

It is divided into three levels—Smart, Gold, and Platinum. Until recently, the prices were KRW 550,000, 1,000,000, and 2,000,000, respectively, but with The Westin Seoul Parnas opening on September 15, they were revised to KRW 650,000, 1,200,000, and 3,000,000. Haha.

In any case, the The Parnas Smart membership I have includes one “Smart” Complimentary Night Voucher. Today’s post is about my stay at Parnas Hotel Jeju using that voucher. There isn’t much information about it online~~

At Parnas Hotel Jeju, the “Smart” Complimentary Night Voucher can be used on weekdays for a Deluxe Room with a standard view.

Breakfast is not included, and as far as I know, a paid room upgrade is not available.

There are increasingly more restrictions on the dates when the voucher can be used. Hotel memberships in Korea have so many rules...ㅠㅠ

When I searched for a Thursday stay about a month later, the room rate came to approximately KRW 380,000.

It is a voucher with a similar value to the “Deluxe Complimentary Night Voucher” included with Club Chosun Gold!

Parnas Hotel Jeju

This is Parnas Hotel Jeju on a sunny summer day in August 2025.

It was my second visit after coming here last November!

Hotel valet parking is available, but there is no credit card partnership for complimentary hotel valet service.

Even from the lobby entrance, it is charming that you can see the sea off Jeju in the distance, isn’t it?

I had seen reports that the hotel was going to be sold, but Parnas Hotel Jeju still seems to be operating well.

When you enter and look to the right of the lobby, you will see the concierge.

There are quite a lot of staff members, so the service quality is generally good.

When you turn left, you’ll see the lobby opening out toward the sea off Jeju!

You could spend a long time gazing at that blue ocean without noticing the time pass~

The main building is on the left, with relatively smaller rooms, while the newer building is on the right, with relatively larger rooms. Both when I visited for the Hyundai Card event in 2024 and when I used The Parnas Smart Complimentary Night Voucher this year in 2025, I was assigned to the main building on the left..ㅠㅠ

If you see this orange-colored lounge, you’re in the right place!

Like Grand Josun Jeju, the rooms are arranged in a circular layout.

That means there are various views, from ocean views facing the sea to standard views overlooking the garden at the back.

I checked in almost first today (check-in was at 3:00 p.m., but I arrived before 2:00 p.m. and they assigned me a room at around 2:30), so I was hoping I might get at least a partial ocean view~

Deluxe Twin, Standard View

Parnas Hotel Jeju. The room had the same layout as the one I stayed in during Hyundai Card Hotel Week in 2024.

The first thing I thought when I walked in was, “Oh, the room is small.”

This is the room assigned when using The Parnas Smart Complimentary Night Voucher!

Since it was a twin room, there were two small beds.

There was just enough space to fit a baby crib between the cabinet under the TV and the foot of the beds.

There wasn’t even a separate table... The room being small is its biggest drawback ㅠㅠ

Still, the room was in good condition. There was a cabinet beside the bed with space to place a suitcase.

There was also space to hang clothes and a safe~

Oh, right! Unlike Grand Josun Jeju, the minibar included one can of cola, one can of lemon-lime soda, and two cans of beer.

There were no other complimentary minibar items.

One good thing was that although the room was small, the bathroom had most of what you would expect!

There was a bathtub for taking a half-body bath, and the toilet and shower areas were separated.

The room is a little small, but it is still a refined place.

Personally, this was my favorite part!!

The room had Santa Maria Novella amenities.

They felt great to use and smelled wonderful... I genuinely wanted to take them home haha.

But if you take them, you will be charged~~~~!

As I had hoped, I could see the newer building, but I was also given a partial ocean view with a glimpse of the sea!

I thought, “Ah~ this is nice!!!” But the problem was that the rooms in the newer building were very visible, especially at night. Haha.

So you have to be a little more careful when changing clothes and so on~

Below is Parnas Hotel Jeju’s signature 120-meter-long swimming pool!

It was a little cold when I used it in November 2024, but I practically had the pool to myself... During this trip at the end of August, however, it was peak season, so there were so many people that it was somewhat uncomfortable... haha..

Anyway! This is my review: the room was clean and pleasant.

Oh, right! They had an apple mango shaved ice dessert, so I tried it, but it wasn’t very good.......

The mango itself wasn’t tasty.

It looked pretty, but it wasn’t worth the money!!!!

In fact, Parnas Hotel Jeju’s shaved ice desserts are apparently somewhat well-known for being lacking in flavor.

The most disappointing part of the trip~~~~~

Fortunately, both my Club Chosun Gold membership and The Parnas Smart membership expired at the end of September, so I was able to enjoy a hotel stay in Jeju at the end of August and use both of them just in time.

If you ask me, “If you could stay somewhere for free again, where would you go?” I still wouldn’t be able to choose....

The rooms at Grand Josun Jeju are overwhelmingly larger. So unless I were traveling as a couple, I think I would have no choice but to choose Grand Josun. However, in most other respects, Parnas Hotel Jeju is better.

For one thing, the outdoor swimming pool is truly impressive. It is practically a symbol of Parnas Hotel Jeju, isn’t it? It is so~ long that it is great for swimming and playing.

The interior design of the hotel rooms is also better at Parnas Hotel Jeju, and the amenities are in a completely different league!!!

And simply having an ocean view is another major advantage~ Everyone comes to Jeju to see the sea, after all haha.

So I think Parnas Hotel Jeju deserves the overall win.

Thinking about it one more time, though, I feel that The Parnas Membership’s complimentary night voucher should probably be used at one of the two hotels in Seoul! Since I live in Seoul, it is a little unfortunate that I don’t end up doing much at the hotels in Seoul ^^;;;
